- stable company, you will get salary on time, may get affected by global recession but relatively safer option than its peers. - nice campus, top class infrastructure (landscaped gardens, cafeteria serving regional dishes etc.) - varied tech being used - some projects may work on cutting edge (literally) technologies whilst other will be relatively older technologies. - Superb food-court - if you are a bachelor, this is a blessing. I have worked in Infosys for over 8 years across 3 Business Units (PED, ECS, DIS) and more than 8 projects. Here are my observations, - Quality of graduates or new hires have declined over the past. Earlier, top colleges, IITs, RECs used to join Infosys, now it has diluted to lot of unnamed colleges which does not always produce quality tech personnel. This has chain reaction and impact immediate team where he/she joins, milestones, deliverables etc. - Lot of project managers are poorly skilled and spent their day submitting metrices/data to higher management rather than focus on customer work. - Sales/project/delivery team works in silos. There is a lack of 'shared' reality between sales vs project vs delivery team. Total lack of synergy. - Revenues - revenues - revenues - Just focussing on revenues will not deliver amazing result for Infosys anymore (that's many top management folks - I personally know and had reported to in the past have left the company). Infosys sadly has lost 'humane touch'. - I rarely had work-life balance. I had on an average 300 hours extra every 6 months (worked on Saturday and Sundays without comp-offs). - Promotion is difficult considering there are 20 years experience folks doing junior Dev works....Read More

Dislikes

Pay is very bad. Hike from 2023 is still pending and hike percentage usually do not cross single digits irrespective of top rating. Example, If salary is 100. JL6 - fixed pay-30% var - 5-15% super annuation - 30% tax bracket from govtd = 100-30-5% sa - 20% tax assumption=45 rs, so you get 45 at hand of your ctc is at 100 Similarly 20%var for JL5 and 10% var for JL4 Just do the math and how under par salary....Read More

nothing i like ...useless company for growth...better work for product based or startup

everything is bad...no communication...long waiting times for reply....nobody tells what to do...no work...struggle to get projects and basic information...even govt office better and more productive

We won't get any recognition in the project and company as well but it mainly depends on the manager and if you are thinking about money means this company is not for you as we won't get any appraisals or bonuses

Infosys manager and HR didn't respond to mails and calls for days despite multiple follow ups and reminders. None of them know about Infosys policies. Each time they just ask you to raise ticket with support team and they just forward any questions to each other resulting in confusion and choas.

If you are in project and maintains good relationship with manager, Your job will be secure. If not you will be released from project and kept under PIP which keeps you in danger

Dislikes

No proper hikes. No proper recognization. No proper leaves. No proper project as per your skill.
