No salary issues and if you get proper project and colleague your are good to go. Every 6 months there is a skill up process you can utilise to improve your self.

PM not having technical knowledge and worst experience in support project . Talent management team not having proper tacking they didn't care about your skills match with your project. Hike is also low always 3 ratings for support projects. There is no straight point of contact to enquire anything. Cognizant has its strengths, but I feel there's room for improvement in several areas beyond just salary. For me, the overall experience hasn’t aligned with my expectations.

In my personal experience, I have faced challenges with the lack of qualified managers and team leads. For instance, in our team, we work from different locations, and our team lead rarely conducted regular team huddles. Even when I, as a senior, tried to take responsibility and initiate meetings, he would often find reasons to stopor postpone them. Over the course of the year, he connected with the team only four or five times, which was far from adequate for effective team collaboration. Additionally, my manager has been disconnected from the team for over a year. When he first joined during a critical transformation period, he did not take the time to observe the team members' expertise, interests, or long-term goals. This lack of involvement left us feeling unsupported and undervalued. One major concern was the cultural bias I experienced. Being from Chennai and a Tamil speaker, I noticed a clear difference in how I and others like me were treated compared to team members from Hyderabad, particularly Telugu-speaking colleagues. I joined Cognizant as a fresher and it’s a best place for starting your career. Culture is very good maybe because of company USA origin. I got good ratings for my hard work without any politics.

Salary and hike is low. Waiting period for promotion is so high even though if you have top year end rating.

No hike, no job security, no skill development, no easy transportation.even if you learn new technologies they will ask for experience and make you work in technology which you already know.if you do "jing jack" you will get everything else you will be cornered and make you to think resigning is best than staying there

Once you completed your project, and if you are on bench if you’re not able to get another project within 35 days, 35 calendar days, not even working days, then you have to resign to your job and you’ll get mails show cause notices from HR after 35 days. That’s the situation in Cogniznt.

It seems that internal politics often take precedence, especially when it comes to promoting and supporting team members who express concern or feedback. This environment can foster dissatisfaction among employees as it appears that recognition and opportunities may be unfairly distributed based on personal biases rather than merit while the Salery and benefits may be competitive the overall work experience suffers due to these dynamics.
