Even if you are working in some other project with some different tech stack, you can still apply for other tech cretificates. Also they provide platforms like udemy, linkdin etc to enhance your skills. Also you got job security working in tcs.

Process of promotions are not that transparent or bias. You only get first two anniversary and finincial upraisals with very less percentage hike. And for promotion you will have to wait till 3 years and that process is also not transparent. They are not treating employees with good respect. Hr peoples are very rude. Even for checking something they are speaking in a rude way. Its been 2.5 months i got project still i didn't get license for TCS teams. Without teams very hard to connect with peoples also. Not proving proper support, proper work for your experience. I'm an automation tester but i'm doing manual work. Without intimating me they directly tagged me to this release sayinb frst learn functionality to do automation, but the worst thing is i'm not even learning functionality. Just doing UI validation, whether conton, design, links are correct. Overalll very worst organization. People can choose this organization only for job security that's it. TCS offers good work life balance and average skill development. Once you are in they rarely fire. They have variety of projects where you will be mapped according to your skill even if you are average or poor in skill.

Dislikes

Poor salary hikes, Removal of hybrid mode. And Poor promotions. Only disadvantages of TCS job as a fresher is less money.

there ae no layoffs in TCS and will hopefully never happen. There is never too much work hence there is a god work-life balance.

salary s too low and even the annual hikes are at a very low growth rate. getting promoted for people is very random instead of being time-based or merit based.

Middle management is worst and hrs are also supporting them instead of maintain ethics. All units are not bad but if got selected in SGB-BFSI insurance domain unit your life getting worse. Be aware while joining project avoid sgb product parent domain.

Salary and promotion process being one of the worst metrics on being a part of the TCS family. If you would like to join TCS, consider it in a phase where you would settle down here with a good package as retirement plan, don't join it early in your career because progressing here will make you old.
