Appraisal and recommendations are not satisfactory. India's inflation rate starts at 8% hence if yearly appraisal is below 5% then we are not even beating the inflation with our hike which is a pain at TCS

Working with TCS is great experience but the project to which I have worked the managers are too toxic. They won't give respect to other health, they force the associates to report to office even on sick leave.

Mangers toxic nature. Least respect to the associates. Iam not telling that every manager is like that in TCS but my projects managers are like that.

Biggest drawback of the company is no-rehiring policy this policy refrains pulling back the employees who have left the organisation and want to rejoin the organisation I wish if this policy would be abrogated I would be very happy to rejoin. Salary increment is quite slow in pace that is again a pain point it could get little better.

If you are passionate to get an IT job then never enroll in mass hiring because you'll never know what job role you might end up with, even if you are just want to get into IT sector as a fresher then never choose TCS because they are absolutely cheap in terms of salary and the managers are condescending so you might feel frightenedto speak up at certain instances. People wont give you release if you have a dependency on you. In this way you will never learn new things with new people and process. The higher ups are just lazy and egoistic people who do not care for the company or its employees.

TCS offers good work life balance and average skill development. Once you are in they rarely fire. They have variety of projects where you will be mapped according to your skill even if you are average or poor in skill.

Dislikes

Poor salary hikes, Removal of hybrid mode. And Poor promotions. Only disadvantages of TCS job as a fresher is less money.

To markets, company gives commentary that the performance is good, whereas to employees, company shares a picture that they are bleeding financially. In a way, they are cutting employee salary to feed dividends to shareholders.

Salary hikes are the lowest even if you give every possible effort, They are clients puppet, Force you to WFO five days a week and if you do not then they will deduct your Variable Pay, Ask you to wear Formals forcefully. They will even force you to take trainings which are not relevant and seems unnecessary
