I get to learn different skills by having unlimited access to udemy and learning access also I do not have an ego to work in development. So when I was released from first project I got support role which then transitioned to kafka project

Promotions and Hikes are invisible. It's based on pure luck If you get a promotion, in-hand salary gets increased in very slow manner.

Good work culture ( if one does not want to work ). One can spend complete career without working. One can deny work by telling lack of bandwidth or lack of experience. TCS has tie up with most training platforms so one learn a lot. If you have good relation with seniors then chances are there for onsite oppurtunity.

Dislikes

No appreciation for project work completion and hardly any promotion or salary hike. Every project manager amd partner will give a ladoo of onsite oppurtunity to everyone in the project to motivate as they are helpless due to low pay and low yearly appreciation of associates. TCS is mostly concentrated on AMS and BAU projects so chances are less to get a role in consulting or implementation project. ( its mostly like tata customer service) No mapping of career aspiration, skillset or education qualification. Senior are mostly concerned about incoming revenue and will tag to any project as long as revenue from client is coming. Getting out of project one does not like is very difficult without proper connection or if the project does not finish. Mindset - No growth mindset, cheap policies to save money from every corner, don't provide any good facilities office or any tech related infra. No concern about employee well being and top management lacks leadership qualities big time.

TCS is an organization that keep a tagline "Building on Beliefs" but don't stay on their words. I feel it's a worst company and following primitive methodologies of work. Once the organization was saying only 25% of workforce will work from office by 2025 now has changed their words. Woth no work life balance, and minimum salary bands, I feel it's an organization forcing their employees to scramble with stupid policies. Being such a big organization, it should lead the Digital work Real life. But again, it is promoting and forcing employees to WFO inefficiently. It is an organization which don't give increments and promotions even if you are getting 5/5 points in reviews. In name of promotion, you will get more work and responsibilities without any increase in salary. In one word, the suffocation is increasing day by day in TCS. My career had the lowest low when I had to join TCS. It was all because of an internal transition and not voluntarily at all. There is absolutely no growth at all. Like zero growth financially inspite of I working in a very challenging and competent product based company, as my client.

Except job security there is nothing which can help you to grow your career neither skill nor salary or opportunities. If you want to develop your skills or willing to get benifits you need to be always good with manager even he is not a nice with you. Here people's get good hike and appraisals when they have good contact with manager, if not forget benifits from company even you working hard.

One of best thing is job security in working with TCS and good opportunity for growing multiple high level skills but choose wisely while taking projects.

Initially for freshers they will ask you to work on support project and later they will move you to development or which u like to work but once’d you allocated to support project they will never remove from that.

Variable should not be considered under CTC, If at all considered should be within 1lac bcoz the company tend to reduce salary based on the variable part.

I didn't the way of behaving rmg s and hr s, if we are in bench depending upon skill we can choose the project but the rmgs doing completely wrong whatever project is there they will allocate us even if we are worked in development project in previous they will assign us service desk projects, worst i didn't like this

Its a good company but its a large company. Things flow slow here. You meet dumb and smart people at the same time. Some projects are super some are mehhh. So better go with some product based company.
