I admire TCS for its global reputation, innovative use of technology, strong ethical values, and excellent career growth opportunities in a diverse and inclusive work environment.
While TCS is a great organization, processes can sometimes feel slow due to its large scale, but this also ensures stability and consistency.

work environment, career growth opportunities, and work-life balance:
low salary compared to market standards, slow career progression, limited learning opportunities, a culture of internal politics, inconsistent project allocations, sometimes repetitive and mundane work, poor work-life balance depending on the project, and a lack of autonomy in decision-making.

Work life balance is good with positive work culture. Benefits and allowance are good.
Reward & recognition are comparatively on the lower side, may be subject to a project based. Band promotion after a certain level is very rare.

Nothing..... Work culture in kolkata office literally is so worst.
I was so shocked how big names could disaapoint me so much. Literally I used to feel so worst that i used to cry in office bathroom it's the worst experience I got. I went into depression for three months. But then again I started my life nd now I am in imerit technology which is a great great company with flexible shift and time and it looks after employees too. A lesson learned big names are just for hype doesn't mean everything that glitters is gold....Read More

Working at TCS was a great experience because of its structured approach to training and development. I appreciated the opportunity to work on diverse projects, which helped me build a strong foundation in data analysis and process management. The collaborative work environment and exposure to global clients also enhanced my communication and problem-solving skills.
TCS offered an excellent platform to develop my foundational skills and gain exposure to various processes. However, I found that the scope of my role became more routine over time, and I was looking for opportunities to take on more challenging, innovative projects. This prompted me to seek roles that better align with my long-term career goals and allow me to expand my expertise.

There is nothing to like about this PATHETIC company
It's been 5 months and so far I have not been given any project. I am from auditing background and my profile is being pitched to clients as Cyber security analyst ( which is something I have never done in my life). Ao far I have not been given acccess to MS Office or even MS Teams to communicate or reachout to anyone. WORST decision a person can take in his/ her professional life is joining this USELESS company!...Read More

One of best thing is job security in working with TCS and good opportunity for growing multiple high level skills but choose wisely while taking projects.
Initially for freshers they will ask you to work on support project and later they will move you to development or which u like to work but once’d you allocated to support project they will never remove from that.

I get to learn different skills by having unlimited access to udemy and learning access also I do not have an ego to work in development. So when I was released from first project I got support role which then transitioned to kafka project
Promotions and Hikes are invisible. It's based on pure luck If you get a promotion, in-hand salary gets increased in very slow manner.

Good work culture ( if one does not want to work ). One can spend complete career without working. One can deny work by telling lack of bandwidth or lack of experience. TCS has tie up with most training platforms so one learn a lot. If you have good relation with seniors then chances are there for onsite oppurtunity.
No appreciation for project work completion and hardly any promotion or salary hike. Every project manager amd partner will give a ladoo of onsite oppurtunity to everyone in the project to motivate as they are helpless due to low pay and low yearly appreciation of associates. TCS is mostly concentrated on AMS and BAU projects so chances are less to get a role in consulting or implementation project. ( its mostly like tata customer service) No mapping of career aspiration, skillset or education qualification. Senior are mostly concerned about incoming revenue and will tag to any project as long as revenue from client is coming. Getting out of project one does not like is very difficult without proper connection or if the project does not finish. No proper training before onboading, Partners try to skill associates on clients resources after onboarding to save money....Read More
