Overall cognizant has a very good environment to work with. But I should say it also purely depends on the team which we have put into. The salary is higher for freshers and lateral compared to other companies.

Dislikes

We cannot expect good ratings and promotion even if we deserve it. As they ask you to work 10 hrs continuously, you will not have time to develop your skills.

No salary issues and if you get proper project and colleague your are good to go. Every 6 months there is a skill up process you can utilise to improve your self.

PM not having technical knowledge and worst experience in support project . Talent management team not having proper tacking they didn't care about your skills match with your project. Hike is also low always 3 ratings for support projects. There is no straight point of contact to enquire anything. I got very high learning opportunities with great role and responsibilities and they had high trust in me.

Dislikes

As other MNCs we have all the dislikes especially we will get support even if we are developers, won't get enough resource for the project as needed so will get high work but I'm lucky to get into the right project but my colleagues were unlucky in there as well.

So far, i do not see any good experiences in terms of ratings, feedback, employee friendly, personal/family related concerns. Just getting pathetic treatment from all sides due to north indian culture and having personal concerns of location preference as bangalore. Always critised for the opportunity they provided like they have given what is not expected as employer. It seems like the employment is chargeable and costs my whole life in chennai only then I deserve to be a right candidate to work in their project. Not feeling good due to consistently forced to change project and degrade ratings. Always denied for preferred location project even after 6 years of work experiences within cognizant. Did not get full exposure and work experience of the study in the project since I am not working as per their location preferrence. HCM managers are only utilising me for their work completion but never support about the personal concern. Mostly tamil managers are sucking the career of North Indian resource and never support since I have location constraints and requested to work from bangalore location. Tamil managers always wanted me to not to work from bangalore location unnecessarily which is very unfair. Not getting proper response and very badly treated by hcm managers or lead within project. This company just looking outside fine but inside it there is hell amount of unfair practices within projects in life science domain.
