Depends on your home manager, some are really supportive. 5-6 hours required from office (depends on the project), rest can be done from home, udemy access, cloud certifications

Salary is too low, only ceo earns good money, exploiting freshers and playing with their careers. They don't have many projects, so most of the time people will be on bench. Promotions are delayed/cancelled based on their convenience citing reasons like utilization is less (common sense- it is less because the company has less projects). Promotions criteria are increased if you satisfy previous required criteria. Hikes are less than peanuts. Company culture is bad, no festival celebration nothing. Work-life balance depends on the project; if you have a project, then you're overloaded with work and if you don't, you're overloaded with stress as they can terminate you anyday. The culture was very bad, there was no work-life balance. The management was not supportive and tremendous rude with employees - Often calling on weekends and nightshifts. Managers used to glorify over work. The environment was like a dungeon. There is no growth for career except those who use to butter managers.

Cognizant will not pay you well , Even if you are eligible for a better pay at the correct time they will release you from the project so that they don't have to promote you

I believe working in a company is totally depends on the project team with whom we are working. As per my team experience I don't have any issues with the people and the culture of the company. The teammates and seniors around me are helpful and also the manager is good, he always motivate us to grow more.

Dislikes

Some time when somebody need to change their work location for the clients need then company should provide sufficient facilities which company does not provide, this is something which is unexpected.

Bad company culture Slave system Compulsory WFO for 5 days a week 3%hike that too delayed by 6 months Toxic Managers Useless HRs Hired us through campus placements as programmer analyst and gave us service desk role. No training was provided by company and cheated us . We were around 1000+ who got the same support roles after being selected as programmer analyst from campus.

Not getting hikes, increments. Not recognizing hardwork we did. No claims for medical emergencies as there is lot if rules for everything. No work life balance Need to work officially 10hr and unofficially 14hr, lots of work pressure. No cab facility. I joined Cognizant as a fresher and it’s a best place for starting your career. Culture is very good maybe because of company USA origin. I got good ratings for my hard work without any politics.

Dislikes

Salary and hike is low. Waiting period for promotion is so high even though if you have top year end rating.

Salary comes on time. Leaves also gets approved easily.

Dislikes

No work life balance. No projects in company so they silently fires. Not so good culture. Not so get promotion(1-5%hike only) or no benefits (whole year). Not that much bonus yearly.

They are changing Promotion Criteria when promotion Cycle comes near so less people are getting promoted due to that criteria.

Those who are in bench more than 50 days, HRs will contact employee and putting pressure on employe to forcefully resign. But they give 5 months full salary for the employees. After resignation
