Work depends upon what project you get. Had a chance to work on a small project from scratch.

Dislikes

Work timings are pathetic. You work at your regular timings and still have to login later for client calls. In my case mostly extending till midnight. The hybrid culture here is totally unproductive. Upper management is worse, expects you to be available anytime for calls.

It was great place to grow and Learn, was given opportunity to learn new technologies and come with new ideas of implementation.

Dislikes

- That is not with cognizant, as my project was distributed across multiple locations we doesn't have that great team bond unlike my previous experience.

They offer competitive salary package. That’s all.

Dislikes

There’s no job satisfaction or personal growth. Enough toxic people up there in the management. So don’t expect any support. It’s all about billing. Also you need to complete a ton of courses and most of them are irrelevant or obsolete, so it just eat your valuable time. Most of the time we have to spend our personal time to do all these since there will be project deadlines.

Perks and benefits at Cognizant are good, such as health insurance, which covers my parents as well as my spouse's parents, which is rare. Other benefits include Wi-Fi reimbursement and more.

Dislikes

They lack a proper system for managing job security and project allocation. Projects are not assigned based on the candidates' skills, and this random assignment leads to problems later. As a result, employees resign early, and the company has to start searching for new candidates again.

Initially there was WFH that was good ..other than that nothing much to appreciate - typical service company culture.

Dislikes

Hikes & promotions are bad. No clear communication from leadership especially from HR perspective. Even senior managers are not clear with policies & whom to connect for particular issue.

Cognizant offers good salary as per industry standards and you get good chance to work on latest technologies. Skill development and up-skill programs are good. You have 3 days work from office policy no pressure on maintaining minimum office hours. Good work life balance depends on role and project for me it’s manageable.

Dislikes

more ijp opportunities should be given. more on-site opportunities should be given. employee benefits should improve. Medical insurance amount should be increased with no copay option to support employees. 10 hour working hour policy should be removed.

Dependent on project your work life balance is good.

Dislikes

Working hours you need to stay 10 hours in the office (9 AM to 7 PM). This year hike percentage is very very worst. Compared to previous year's hike percentage. Work life balance is dependent upon the project. Every weekend you need to login if you are in support project. 6 th day allowance is less. Rating is not straight forward. Always they will give preference to their state peoples.

Poor salary. No appraisal. Exploitation of employees. Lot of red flags in the management and work culture. Too much favouritism, extreme micro management. No worklife balance. No upskilling or understanding people's potential or appreciation of efforts.

It was nice pleasure to work with Cognizant people. They were very helpful in nature, very kind. I know not many people are like this, but, its everyone's perspective towards life and demanding situation of life. I was fully satisfied with my work, culture and Life balance.

Promotions get delayed most of the times, which is rights to earn more of employees who are really working for company.

1. Though it is CMMI level 5 but no policy as per standard. 2. To much mismanagement 3. Job security very poor 4. No transpreency in office policy any can impose you any rule at any time without concernong about office policy. 5. Working shift approx 14 h/day so no work life balance

It’s been 3 years since I have started working with Cognizant and so far my journey is good in terms of learning as well as in appraisal as well.Although recently Cognizant has cut down on their yearly appraisal due to current market but for learning it’s good.

Dislikes

Appraisal could be better. Also, they should focus on internal talent market place as their are folks staying on bench for almost 2-3 months and they are not getting tagged to any project.

Frankly Nothing I liked working in cognizant .. nothing motivates or excites here .. worst organisation to work

Many many dislikes. Zero work life balance, zero employee care. And after working in 3 MNCs I could sat. Worst Infrastructure ever seen for any IT company.
