**Title:** Unfair Treatment and Toxic Management in Medicare Healthcare I worked as a Senior Process Executive in the Medicare Healthcare project at Cognizant Technology Solutions, and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The management treats employees like laborers rather than professionals. The environment is incredibly toxic, especially in the project I was involved in. The most troubling aspect was the blatant favouritism, political and unprofessional behavior from the management. The manager and his wife, who both work on the same project, would regularly take long breaks and leave the rest of us to handle back-to-back calls for nine hours straight without any opportunity for a proper break. While no one else was allowed to take a holiday or even a short break, they had the freedom to go out for coffee at Starbucks or attend parties during work hours. It’s disheartening to see how promotions and high ratings are given only to those who are in the good books of the management. If you’re friends with the manager, willing to lend your car for their personal use during shifts, or pay for their weekend alcohol, you’ll get ahead. The rest of us are treated like expendable resources. The 10-hour shifts are grueling, and the work environment is demoralizing. Management’s attitude is that they’re doing us a favor by employing us, rather than treating us with the respect we deserve as professionals. The final straw for me was the realization that management would cover for each other during any compliance issues, making it clear that there’s no accountability or fairness in this project. If you value your mental health and professional growth, I would strongly advise against working in this project at Cognizant. Waste After working hard and getting 5 rating for an entire year, they postponed the increment which is supposed to be given on April and now in the month of August, they gave 4.5% of increment for 5 star rating. It’s just not worth working hard on Cognizant.
