Good learning opportunities in current technologies, in the form of training sessions and self-paced hands-on projects. But they have to be taken up apart from project hours, if you are in billable position.

Being a huge org with wild variety of accounts, projects, and job roles, experience will vary from person to person. But the common traits, according to me, are that middle management mostly cares about task completions and delivery timelines. They mostly have little clue about the finer aspects of the software development lifecycle and the appropriate technical allocation to make for the same. As a result there is unequal workload distribution among members of same team. Dislikes

Sometimes, the work pressure can be high, and processes can take a lot of time. It would be better if things were faster and more flexible.

Everything depends on what kind of project or manager you work with. Still I had a very bad experience (not with my manager) with other managers who are very rude with no context. No empathy. I have experienced few managers atleast don't address you properly , don't know what kind of corporate culture they are following. Policies are at worst

Meager salary hike. Slow promotion. many people are in the free pool, not enough projects for freshers, still company hire in large numbers. Freshers have to wait even for a year to get into a project and even if freshers get tagged into a project they are forced to work on technologies that are not being used by other product-based companies. Because of the low opportunity and slow learning curve, I won't recommend any service-based company. For experienced also, I advise you not to come into Wipro, the company will not give more than a 5% salary hike. The company didn't give a salary hike for the 2022-23 cycle to many resources that were billable into the project and it also cut variable pay for many quarters. Wipro doesn't value their workers in terms of salary hikes. Company is willing to hire someone else with a hire package but doesn't give it to your existing employees, even if you are billable....Read More

Wipro provides great learning and development opportunities by providing free vouchers for certifications and a Udemy account which you can use. They arrange monthly training’s and skill development sessions. Apart from this I don’t feel there is anything beneficial working in wipro.

Dislikes

The promotions/appraisal cycle is of name sake. Last year they did not even provide hike. Once you are in free pool you’ll have to struggle way too much to find a new project. You won’t even have a scope of changing your technology as they’ll tag you forever under the skill that you are working on. Management in the team is so poorthat I can’t even express.
