Unless you are at higher band, there is no benefit. It is beneficial when you are manager.

Dislikes

Exploiting employees. Working in HCL has been nightmare. No leaves, no salary hike, no appraisals, no perks. Apart from that they introduce new policy to make your fixed salary to variable inorder to further deduct salary.

They Don't follow their own policies. Ex: Apprisal Year is April to March, Compensation hike as per policy will be in July, but the letter will be released in October. So they manage 2 quarter's.

I could see in most cases HCL is generally hiring resources who are serving notice period

There is job security compared to other companies. They do not believe in hire and fire. They have many projects to work, so there is bit security for job as you have plenty of work to do. Salary is on time. Will get chance to learn new things and certifications.

Dislikes

There is no real transparency in promotion. Even there is no automated process to pick persons who has not promoted for last more than couple of years. Salary hike is very less in percentage, mostly in single digit. Sometimes no hike at all. Fully micromanaging tool (Sapience) to check utilization of 9 hours, for which most of the employees are dissatisfied irrespective of theirs' successful project deliveries. Company only goods on paper but in reality picture is completely different. Company is only for fresher and for higher post. For mid level and senior level better to avoid.

Company is good at variable deduction from two different stages. Comapny is very good for HR and south indian people, specially Tamil.

Dislikes

No proper induction when you start with HCL. HRs are very dominating and poor in management. Managers wre mostly from south india so they are preferring there people only, very biased when it comes to appraisal and promotion.

HCL tech provides more learning opportunities to up skill and it has more hybrid work option
