No increment or hike for years and years despite performance .One has to develop a good relationship with upper management even if he/she doesn't work or perform at all....you will be eligible for promotion and when incremented salary comes that too has alot of variable in it.

Capgemini was my first company. It turned my life upside down. They forced me to resign because I was unable to relocate due to personal reasons. I requested their help and told them my story, but they still didn't care. I don't deserve to be resigned. I worked hard and honestly there and still had to face this. In 1.9 years, I did not get a single project to work on in Hyderabad, even though I had the skills. My only request is, please don't do this to freshers. In CG if you are right project you will get promotion on time and good appraisal as well. There are some projects where people are stuck on same profile with no promotion for more than 5 years also.

Dislikes

Annual appraisal from last 4 years were not good. This is something CG need to take care. Bcoz if people won't be satisfied and happy company can't grow. Apart from this work culture is good and CG always promote Skills development to their employees.

Managers and above management have No emotions for A B C grade employees , they will just force you to work and only work , they want their work on time , no any benefits , no hikes , even no one cares about your skill , here they will just replace you by fresher recuitment .

Too many meetings, too many small projects in hand done by the same team, little training programs, hr contribution is very low and many members don't have the answer regarding promotion and appraisal

Capgemini believes in work life balance. We used to have furloughs. Otherwise also tasks were not rushed. Sufficient time was given for each task. In case the task required to be hurried, time was later given to relax, before starting a new task. Trainings were good and knowledgeable. You were never denied leaves, provided you applied atleast 45 days in advance, for long leaves. Otherwise also managers and team leads were good and understanding. As mentioned, job stability was not there. Once you are out of a project and HRs are not showing enough interest to get you interviews for new projects, you should understand that the company wants you to quit. You would immediately understand this shift in behaviour, once you are out of a project and no one contacts you for next three weeks.

Freshers don't get opportunities to get tagged in project. The promotion and appraisal are messed up, I didn't got any appraisal or even promotion working for 2 years. Communication is not straight forward. Working overtime and on weekends has became a norm. There are no incentive for a freshers continuing working in this organization. Removed more than half of fresher employees during the training. And training environment at Airoli is like hell in starting of 2024 almost 3 women freshers suffered from panic attacks and almost 80-90% trainees suffered from anxiety and depression. Most of mentors killing confidence of trainees every day
