₹50 Crore Flats for CEOs, 70-Hour Workweeks for Us
I feel Narayana Murthy's ₹50 crore flat purchase is a slap in the face of India's overworked and underpaid workforce.
Thanks for working 70 hours a week so CEOs can buy ₹50 crore homes🙏
Are we, the common people, nothing more than mere slaves to the corporate world?

Will LLMs become the ultimate mediators for better and for worse? DeepMind researchers and Reddit users seem to agree on that
→ Large language models (LLMs) have the potential to act as mediators in situations where agreements cannot be reached between individuals, according to AI experts.
→ Researchers at DeepMind trained LLMs called 'Habermas Machines' to identify common beliefs between individuals on political topics like immigration, Brexit, minimum wages, and climate change.
→ Volunteers rated statements made by the LLMs higher than human statements on the same issues, contributing to reduced division within groups.
→ The study suggests that AI-mediated deliberation helps in the emergence of shared perspectives on controversial social and political issues.

Swiggy Fined Rs35,000 for Inflating delivery Distance and overcharging customers
Apparently, Swiggy is overcharging customers by inflating its delivery distance. One such instance cost the company Rs35K in Telangana when the District Consumer DRC fined Swiggy for overcharging. It was bound to happen, as I have seen many such instances myself.
Restaurants with a 6.5 km range should be made to show over 7 km and not be included in Swiggy One membership.

Dehradun should be a bloody lesson for all who drink and drive!
A bunch of young lives crushed and mangled, because someone decided to play God with speed and alcohol.
After reading the Dehradun accident news I feel blessed to be grown up in an environment where my parents waited till I became responsible enough before allowing me to drive any vehicle.
I feel blessed to be grown up in an environment where Alcohol is still considered taboo. Even driving at night sober is considered unsafe, drunk driving to bht door ki baat hai.
While we continue to blame the alcohol and the youth who were involved in ego driving, I feel their parents should be held responsible equally!

While the pandemic popularized work-from-home (WFH) arrangements, there's growing evidence that this trend might be starting to wane. Wipro's recent decision to lease significant office space in Mumbai and Gurugram, despite offering WFH options to employees, suggests a shift in preferences.
The end of the WFH era may be near. As businesses reassess their remote work policies, it's crucial to evaluate the long-term implications of this shift. Are you prepared to adapt to a potential return to the office or a hybrid work model?

Is Swiggy Losing Its Grip in Mumbai?
I'm starting to feel like Swiggy 's service in Mumbai is taking a nosedive. Is anyone else experiencing the same?
Two of my orders were delayed by over three hours this week alone. It's frustrating! And don't even get me started on the outdated menus and missing items. It feels like restaurants aren't even bothering to update their status on the app.
What's even more disappointing is the customer support. When I reached out, the only solution they offered was to cancel the order. Seriously? That's not a solution, it's just giving up. Meanwhile, I placed the same order on Zomato, which was delivered on time.
It's a shame to see a once-reliable service slip like this. I wonder how this pre-IPO slump and negative customer sentiment will impact Swiggy's future. It's time for them to improve their game and provide better service.
Let me know if you've had similar experiences.

Delhi's AQI has crossed 1000!!!
It’s been 18 days since Diwali now and the AQI is crossing maximum limit. The AQI on the next day of Diwali in Delhi was around 300 and 18 days later the situation is just worst.
The politicians keep banning Diwali crackers to control pollution when they very well know that it’s not the crackers, it’s the stubble burning which chokes Delhi-NCR during November-December. Yet, these politicians do absolutely nothing about the causes behind this pollution.
Most of the politicians’ kids study in some IB school abroad and they themselves live in Lutyens, surrounded by lush greens and expensive air purifiers even in their toilets. They give absolute zero f***s about the common citizens.
The sad truth is, we cannot do anything at all to control it!
