Hi All, Need your suggestions / advice : I had joined an MNC 6 years back as Fresher with salary of 3.18 LPA. In last 6 years, got 2 promotions and currently working as Team Lead with 10LPA. I am not satisfied with salary and somehow feel it's not appreciating my efforts with such low salary. How to change mindset for switching jobs? Or what should be done?

Managing Financial Stress After a Job Change

I switched jobs two months ago, moving from Kolkata to Mumbai with a 40% salary hike. While the decision was partly to escape the toxicity of my previous workplace, it also came with the hope of a better future. On the positive side, my mental health has improved, and I genuinely enjoy the new role with its higher responsibilities and learning opportunities. However, the higher cost of living in Mumbai—especially rent and daily expenses—has essentially nullified the hike. Financially, I’m in the same spot as before, and with my family set to grow soon, I’m starting to feel the pressure. Since I’m in a senior management role, switching jobs isn’t as straightforward, making my situation even more challenging. It’s also too early to expect a raise in my current position. Has anyone faced a similar challenge? How did you manage it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

How to decline an offer that's already accepted?

I've recently received an offer from company A and accepted it then, I've shared all the necessary details, like my govt ID, PAN, PF, UAN and my education related certificates. I'm in my notice period now and I will be joining company A in 2 weeks. Still I haven't stopped giving interviews and now it looks like, I'll pass the interview for another company, B. In a case where I receive the offer from B, will there be any problem if I declined A's offer? One issue I've heard is that, as I shared the details with A, it'll create dual employment.

I'm in a tough spot, and I need some advice! I've got two offers on the table: Offer 1: Pros: Great WLB, good culture, stable job, and a role I'm familiar with. I have been searching for a role from quite some time now. I don't know why, but I have received around 100s of rejection mails from every company I have applied to. Even for the roles where my work-ex, skills and educational background are a perfect match, ATS score of my resume is usually 85+. I have been longing for companies like CRISIL, ICRA, S&P, NOMURA, MSCI, Morning Star, DB. Yet no positive responses. I don't know what to do anymore. Should i switch to Android or continue in Data engineering field

Hello folks, i'm currently a data engineer at jio platforms with 1.5 yoe. I joined this company in June, 2023 and have been working here since then. However, the kind of work which I get is very monotonous and not at all developer like. I've been thinking of changing my career from data engineering to android. My day to day job is mostly tuning SQL queries which others have already written, thus you can guess how dull and low effort my job would be. Is this a company specific thing or maximum data jobs out there are monotonous ? I am really interested in changing to android building a product and face challenging architecture-based scenarios which will help me grow as a developer. Fellow data engineers are open share their experience, i'd like to know what else is out there. Everyday I wake up feeling confused. But on the other hand, getting a job as an android developer is not easy given less openings available. Pls guide me, senpais. Current tech - mostly hive, rarely spark.

Last week oct 25th 2024 I got call asking if iam intersted to attend interview for Mphasis, I said yes. After getting details I came to know it's for same position I left. Hi, When I joined the current company I got to know that my previous company don't want me to join this organisation because they have some agreement that I shouldn't join some companies that are clients to them in the past. I am not aware of this and joined. They say in future background checks they will say contract breach. What should I do now? Note: current company is ok with this. I have been working in this company for two years now. Update: There is a company in between these companies where I worked for more then a year.

Problem being my area of expertise with many proactive approaches in improving customer goals, customer satisfaction, overall quality improvement and cost reduction as well. Reporting, trend analysis, and also many other Adhock activities are part of my regular daily deliverables. I work with team/tech/account leads to get the RCA and work for Resilience. I am also involved with various quality audits internal and external along with CMMI audits that I am actively working on for high maturity practice areas audits. I need help to understand what better can I do at my current job and what should be my goal for next 3/5/10 years. When should I start looking into new opportunities...? Will my YOE as SQL developer hold any value if i were to become a Data Analyst?

I'm currently working as an PLSQL Developer with 1.3 YOE in a prod support team. My daily tasks require resolving bugs with the product, deliver new changes in the system etc. The only tool I use is Oracle PLSQL Developer, ireport so I wanted to upskill myself and move into Data Analytics since I'm pretty good with SQL and Excel already. Hi all, Need ur suggestion/ advice : I have done my master degree in Pharmacy (Pharmacology) but after completing college (Tier 3) getting placement of about 15k. I have joined the company but after spending 2 months there is huge work pressure and my senior are not cooperating. Delay in offer letter from Reliance

Hi Everyone, Recently I got selected in Reliance. After accepting initial offer letter I went through medical health check up. In Medical all the required tests are accepted by doctor. After submitting medical offer I am following up to the HR team they are indicating me due to migration process on the system due to which it’s getting delayed. Should I accept the offer or any other advice ?

I was working as an Associate in a medical billing company with a CTC of 3.75 LPA. I’ve received an offer from Genpact in the same field (medical billing/insurance claims) with a salary of 4.5 LPA, but the shift is from 5:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., which is not ideal for me but I can still manage. Hey folks currently working at Swiggy in the ads planning team my work revolves around sales operations as i have to work with the ad sales team in and out. I do a lot of data analysis (Google sheets reports / SQL for data dumps) and planning to help Restaurants boost their ROI , City Teams to manage their ads revenue to get maximum burn and ensure all the Account manager meet their monthly target, maintain multiple excel / power Bi dashboards for the regional heads and senior stakeholders, back to back calls with city heads and account managers to solve any of their data or operational issues. The main problem is I think I have learned everything at my current job and now I am getting bored as i solve multiple problems which are in my limit, rest other problem are incompetency of our product due to which we are not crossing a sales target barrier. What should I do should i stick here or find other opportunities? I joined back in Dec’23 also i am getting underpaid

American Express Worst mistake in Interview from my side.

Yesterday due to the network issue, I couldn't join virtual Operation rounds in American Express for the profile in Sales in Insurance. He had been preparing for the ops round for quite some time but I couldn't find the time. HR and Manager Are Angry on me and I know it makes a very bad impression of both the hiring manager and the HR. I don't even know they give me another chance.
