I'm getting a good offer after joining a company. It's been 10 days only . Can i leave it?
I recently joined a new company, and within 10 days, I received a more attractive offer from another company. Can I resign without serving the notice period? Would declining any salary and relieving letter (Experience Letter) it easier for the company to agree to my departure?

Stuck with Low Salary!
Hi All,
Need your suggestions / advice :
I had joined an MNC 6 years back as Fresher with salary of 3.18 LPA.
In last 6 years, got 2 promotions and currently working as Team Lead with 10LPA.
I am not satisfied with salary and somehow feel it's not appreciating my efforts with such low salary.
How to change mindset for switching jobs? Or what should be done?

Stuck from 2.6 years without hike and promotion
I have been working at my current organization for 2.6 years and started with a CTC of ₹8 lakh, which has remained unchanged since my joining. During this period, I have not received any promotions or salary hikes, which has made me question whether I should wait for growth within the company or explore external opportunities.
I am hopeful of getting a promotion in June this year, but I am unsure if it’s worth waiting for. Here’s what I am considering:
1. Stay and wait for the promotion: There’s a possibility of career progression in June. Should I wait for it, considering the time and effort I have invested here?
2. Start looking for a new opportunity: I could begin exploring other organizations where I might receive a better salary, role, and career growth. However, leaving without securing my next promotion feels uncertain.
I would appreciate suggestion:
Whether I should wait until June or start looking for better option or if you have something else please tell me in comments

Switch to HCL or Stay in CTS?
I'm presently working with Cognizant at a package of 5.08 LPA remotely with almost 4 yrs of experience in Service Desk.Recently I've received an offer from HCL as a Senior Analyst at a package of 7.2 LPA in Service desk domain but it would be 5 days work from office .
I feel that the package is a bit low in HCL as I would be working from the office all days of the week. And also I might be due for promotion in Cognizant in March 2025 which might raise my package to 7 LPA
There's also a 12 month service-bond agreement with HCL
Kindly advice on what I'm supposed to do
Thank You

How should I pass this Guilty phase
I'm here for advice even though I'm joining a new company with 2.9 YOE and my package was 7.5 fixed plus 1 lakh joining bonus and some of my friends with similar track were having around 3.2 - 3.5 YOE were getting paid around 9-11 Lpa with all these words and all I'm getting too low that I made a wrong descision for a switch for less package even though the company I'm joining is good for growth.
I don't know why it's all in my head which is making me a little insecure with my own friends..
And I'm thinking I'll switch this current one in one year so that I can increase my package because I have more experience in attending interviews in 2024.
The only thing is I'm having less real-time experience and more theoretical knowledge so will it affect so much in the new company as I want to put more effort.
Please help me with the suggestions

Managing Financial Stress After a Job Change
I switched jobs two months ago, moving from Kolkata to Mumbai with a 40% salary hike. While the decision was partly to escape the toxicity of my previous workplace, it also came with the hope of a better future. On the positive side, my mental health has improved, and I genuinely enjoy the new role with its higher responsibilities and learning opportunities.
However, the higher cost of living in Mumbai—especially rent and daily expenses—has essentially nullified the hike. Financially, I’m in the same spot as before, and with my family set to grow soon, I’m starting to feel the pressure.
Since I’m in a senior management role, switching jobs isn’t as straightforward, making my situation even more challenging. It’s also too early to expect a raise in my current position. Has anyone faced a similar challenge? How did you manage it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for a advice to choose a company
Hi All,
I recently got a offer of 40LPA for an 11 years experience and my current CTC is 28LPA. But the catch is my current organization is very big MNC whereas my current offer is with Tier II or Tier III company in the same field.
I think I might have a good work life balance and good people to work with in the new organization but not sure about that we can't decide just by talking to them during interview process.
Whereas my current organization has good team members and work life balance is not so great in current organization.
Help me to choose whether to take up this new role or to stay in my current organization. I already put my papers but I'm still confused.

When to switch
I recently graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I have secured a job as a Business Analyst at an eCommerce brand with a salary package of 4.5 LPA. Considering I graduated from a tier 3 college and got the job off-campus, is this a good package?
What should I focus on next: skill development or switching skills? If I choose to skill up, how should I go about it? Should I join a course or pursue certifications? Additionally, I am curious about pursuing further studies—should I opt for an M.Tech or an MBA?

Help me choose!!
I recently received an offer from a small startup with fewer than 10 employees. They were founded just a year ago and are offering a competitive salary. However, the role requires working six days a week, which is a major concern. Currently, I work night shifts in US staffing, earning a decent salary with incentives. While this position provides financial benefits, the night shifts are detrimental to my health. I am also expecting an imminent increment in my current role. I am deeply uncertain about whether accepting the startup offer is the right decision.

1. Does every company want this from their employee.
2. This job used my 13 hours (job + travel) per day and it's getting hard for my personal growth as I want to switch into Business analyst.

Need Advice: Job Offer in Mumbai vs. Indore – Which One to Choose?
Hi Everyone,
I need some suggestions. I have two job offers:
1. Team Lead - Tele Collection (Mumbai) with a 10 LPA package
2. Relationship Manager (Indore, Fintech) with a 5.6 LPA package (which is the average for Indore)
I’m originally from Indore, so I’m unsure whether to go for the higher package in Mumbai or stay in my hometown with a lower salary. Which one would you choose and why?

27M, Is It Too Late to Chase Multiple Dreams?
Hey everyone, I used to have a pretty set idea of what I wanted to do, thought I’d go into Hospitality or Marketing . But now, at 27, I feel like there’s so much more I want to explore, starting a business, becoming an influencer, working as a designer, and even doing creative consulting.
I feel capable, but also a little worried that it’s too late to start from scratch, especially after just paying off my debts.
Do you think it’s naive to want to do all these things now?
Would love your thoughts!

Is Project Manager (of HR projects) a good position to take in Tata Capital for a 7 yrs exp Tech PM, as Tata Capital not being an IT firm.
Guys, I have 7 yrs of exp working as Tech Project manager in IT industry, I got an offer from Tata capital as Project Manager - HR projects. I'm little concerned about will there be any impact in switching the job in future to any IT org, after working for atleast 1 yr in Tata capital as Tata capital not being an IT firm.
Also, do share your feedback on HR projects domain, will it impact in getting role in any other IT domain (like application management, etc) in future.
Addtnl info:
The PM - HR projects role does have relevance to IT, the role involves RPA bots monitoring & implementation, issue detection & fixing, etc
I accepted this & willing to join there due to,
1. Big Brand name on my resume, as so far I only had small org names on my CV.
2. In anticipation to make it to Big firms in future, if I've a tag of being a PM @ Tata capital compares to Tech PM at any unknown org. Becoz I feel Big org prefer someone from big org over small org (Correct me if I am wrong?)

Quitting Without an Offer: Need Advice on Work-Life Imbalance
Hi everyone, I joined my current company in May 2024, hoping for career growth and new challenges. However, over the past few months, I've realized the work environment is extremely hectic, with no work-life balance. The demands are overwhelming, and I’m constantly struggling to manage my personal and professional life. Despite my efforts to adapt, it's clear this isn't sustainable for me.
I’ve been actively applying for other positions but haven’t received any offers or positive responses. Now, after careful thought, I’ve decided to quit even without another offer. It's tough, but my mental and physical well-being is my priority.
Has anyone gone through something similar? How did you manage the uncertainty and transition? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Need Advice on Career change
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to switch my career and would appreciate some advice on how to move forward. Here’s a bit about my situation:
I worked as an electrical technician from 2016 to 2020 but decided to quit and take a break. I’ve been unemployed for over 4 years.
In 2017, I enrolled in college to work toward my bachelors in electrical engineering, which took me six years to complete (graduated in 2023) because of backlogs. My CGPA is 5.6 out of 10.
In 2024, I decided to switch careers and took up a full-stack Java developer certification course (6 month course plus a 3 month unpaid internship from the same institute). I’m now feeling uncertain about how to approach the job market, especially with a career gap, my academic performance and age.
Given my background do you think anyone will hire me as a fresher in the tech industry?

Need Advice: Workplace Favoritism & Ethics
I recently noticed something in my workplace that's been bothering me. My boss, who is the Business Head, seems to have a personal relationship with a colleague. While I wouldn’t usually care about personal lives, I’ve started noticing favoritism, which is affecting team dynamics.
This situation is making me uncomfortable, and I’m unsure how to handle it. Should I bring it up with HR? Should I address it directly with my boss? Or should I just ignore it and focus on my work? Would love to hear how others have handled similar situations

How to decline an offer that's already accepted?
I've recently received an offer from company A and accepted it then, I've shared all the necessary details, like my govt ID, PAN, PF, UAN and my education related certificates.
I'm in my notice period now and I will be joining company A in 2 weeks.
Still I haven't stopped giving interviews and now it looks like, I'll pass the interview for another company, B.
In a case where I receive the offer from B, will there be any problem if I declined A's offer?
One issue I've heard is that, as I shared the details with A, it'll create dual employment.

is my skill are valuable ? may i stay in my current company or resign ?
I am an Embedded Engineer working at a company in Kerala. Most of my projects so far have been academic. I have experience with STM32, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and FPGA development. Additionally, I am proficient in C, C++, VHDL, and Python.
I also have hardware knowledge, including circuit design, PCB design, and component selection. My experience extends to RTOS, threading, OpenCV, and AI in embedded systems. I have worked with simulation software like Proteus and MATLAB as well.
Despite having a broad skill set, my projects have primarily been academic. Currently, I have completed 1.5 years at my company
iam looking job in an MNC, but despite applying to many positions, I haven’t received any responses. This has led me question whether having broad knowledge without a specialized skill is a disadvantage.
I am considering resigning from my current job, but I’m unsure if this is the right decision. What is your opinion?

Confused
I am working in a food industry from 15months after completing masters in the same domain. The company I am working currently is an MNC with a goodpay. But the problem here is I am working in a 3P unit where I have to work with the owners of the unit. Now only me and my manager are from our company.Rest, all the employees and the staff are from the 3P unit. It has been hard to execute my thoughts in the factory. Workers and staff here often hesitate to agree to my thoughts/decisions fearing their owner. My owner always has a justification for the wrong practices here but doesn't co-operate with me for a solution. My company has given me full freedom from their side. How will my company notice me if I don't bring-up any visual changes in the factory. I have tried discussing this with my seniors.I am the youngest employee of our company in India so I guess they might be thinking that I am over-reacting.
With this experience what should I do now.should I start applying to some other job?

Should I switch
Hey peeps, I just finished my probationary period(6 months) in a company which I was placed thru college campus, My office is too far from my home it is 24 kms+24 kms up and down. The bangalore traffic is too hectic takes 3 hours of travel each day and my working hours are 9 hours which sums up to 12 hours per day. My work is pretty good but my Boss always demotivates the team and blames us for not doing any work.
My problem in the current company is : minimal growth, travelling 5 days a week, after probationary then 2 years of bond to work there else pay compensation of 2L.
Keeping in mind the job market rn.
1)Should I still continue working at the same place if they give me hybrid (that's available for other teams)
2) quit immediately and then look for a job.
3) stay here and keep applying until I receive any other job then switch.
Pls guide me am sooo confused 🤔

Guidance on career switch: Within Data Field
Context:
I have been working for the past one year (intern + 4 month full time) as a analytic engineer where I was responsible for creating python scripts/ query using sql and build visuals (PowerBI).
--- Due to medical reaons, I had to leave this org in dec 2024, Now I am trying to get back with the job hunt.
Question: Moving forward, in which data field should I put efforts into - Data engineering, Data Science ...
Actual reason for kindly reaching out for guidance is to not have to-n-fro movement while learning.
I am technical not that good and honestly agree on the part of trying to learn everything while touching only the surface. Being more precise, i am good at SQL window functions and other logic building portion but ain't aware of PySpark, Python (managed previous workloads through AI).
I am trying to enroll myself into a streamlined bootcamp for either DE or DS based on the inputs here.
Thanks a lot for the support in advance

I don't know what's happening
I recently joined a startup as an Associate Product Manager, and I'm feeling a bit lost. The company only has two people - the CEO and me.
My concerns:
- Lack of communication: The CEO doesn't check in on the tasks he assigned me.
- No clear direction: I'm unsure what's expected of me.
- No support: There's no one else to turn to for guidance or feedback.
- Payment concerns: The CEO hasn't asked for my account number for salary purposes.
Here's why I'm really worried:
- I left my previous job to join this startup, so I'm without a financial safety net.
- I'm afraid that the CEO might suddenly tell me, "I don't want to do startup anymore; go home."
- I'm unsure if I should start applying for new jobs or wait it out and hope things improve.
Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I be concerned about the startup's viability or is this just a case of a busy CEO?
Looking forward to your advice and insights!

Service history conflict in UAN number
Hello,
I have a query regarding a service period conflict. I joined company A (for an induction call only) and later that day received a better offer from company B. Due to fare compensation, I joined company B and informed company A that I was accepting another offer. Now, company A has added a 14-day service period to my UAN, which is conflicting with my current organization's joining date. Top MNCs are considering this as moonlighting, which is untrue, but they are not listening to my explanation. How can I deal with this?

And i m not sure about whats next coz I dont have job or a mba admission. I only know some sql and python that i learnt last year and trying to learn data vizualization but still not getting any intership for data analyst . Pls guide.

Hello all, I am working in call center from 3 years. Today I got an offer from a big company. But they asking me for re-leaving letter and about notice period duration.
The problem is if I make a spot resignation can I get re-leaving letter suddenly or do I have to wait for some days ? I don't want to let this offer go so I don't want to wait for 30days notice period. Please do tell me when someone get re-leaving letter ?

Can we change domain after 16 years of experience?
I'm working as a technical manager (Java based) in a global Bank having 16 years of experience, my whole career is with banking and financial services. Current CTC is 34LPA.
Now I think to change my job to get more salary, i get very few calls for interview because of 3 months notice period, and few of them were from different domains ( health care, logistics etc.). Is it wise to change domain? Or better to look for internal jobs with the bank?

Hi everyone.
My name is Rohit. I have graduated from bcom and I've been working as a 3D animator for a year now. The creative industry is quite unstable and not worth it so i am switching my field. Data analyst and mis or digital marketing both seem quite great option. I don't know the overall scope and salary about thi field. So i want your guidance in choosing a better career path. I want to do something technical and something that don't require investing in few year course.
So can you guys tell me data analyst or mis and digital marketing what would be a better choice. Or is there something else I can do?
