Same day joining an offer letter from two companies.

On Wednesday 27th November I gave an interview in two companies The 1st one is in real estate and the 2nd one is in the Share market. Both sides are sales roles. Real-estate company is very near my home around 20 min and the second one is Trade bulls company located in Karol bagh, delhi. I crack both interview salary packages also similar but Trade bulls is far for me. I decided to go with real-estate. After getting an offer letter from trade bulls before joining i refused to join the company. But I feel bad for the HR who helped me to complete all the procedures and also management will tell them about this case. I have 6 backlogs in my engineering (ECE branch) and I'm currently in my third year, preparing for the GATE exam in 2026.

I feel demotivated because if I’m struggling to clear my semester exams, how will I manage to clear GATE? Despite these challenges, I’m trying to study, but I find it difficult to understand the concepts since my basics are weak. My backlogs are in Engineering Mathematics 1, 2, 3 and Electronic Devices. I know GATE is tough, and it’s overwhelming to juggle semester exams along with GATE prep, especially with these backlogs. What to do get High package?

Hi friends again I want to seek your help. I am a really frustrated guy and hopeless because I am quite unable to achieve anything. I have family to support and have thought that after Engineering life will get better but seems everything turned out reverse. I am civil engineer with 7 years work ex and package is below 7 lpa but now my role and construction industry is in cooled down state. New job opening are not promising. Packages offered are even below expectation and not competitive. And foreign MNC and Big Names are only hiring +1 degree holders. I am now totally stuck to my field. Tried switching by doing MBA but entrance exams hit hard no colleges are ready to give admission on profile. I don't know what to do. Going for full time would have been beneficial but now Age comes I am now close to 30 years. Please suggest what to do. Trying out courses on Data Analytics but still sceptical if this works out for my age and experience.

Hi All, I graduated with a B.E. in Computer Science in 2023 and since then worked in a startup from Jan 2023 to August 2023 as an Intern and later from September 2023 to August 2024 as an SDE. I left the startup because work culture had gotten way too toxic for me. Now After 3 months I have 3 offers, StarHealth - 12.5 LPA, Delhivery - 15 LPA, Cleartrip - 17 LPA + 10% Variable. Previous CTC was 10.2 LPA, I know Delhivery and Cleartrip has low balled me a lot, but I can't keep on being unemployed and am joining Cleartrip next week. I want to ask, should I keep applying more because I am fed up of applying day after again and again and focus on learning and build skills gradually or Keep on applying on the side (if this what should I say to the HR's of new companies why I am exploring even when you have just switched). Awesome job offer but

I’ve received a new job offer with an excellent salary increase. Based on my research on AmbitionBox, the new salary aligns with the median for SVP/EVP roles in my industry (Banking & financial institutions). However, the designation offered is DVP, as the company seems to have a policy of only granting the VP title to those with 20+ years of experience (I cross checked on Linkedin too). On one hand, I’m excited about the opportunity and the financial growth, but there's a small sense of dissonance in the back of my mind about the title. I understand that titles can vary from company to company, but it's still something I’m thinking about. What are your thoughts on the importance of designations, and do you have any advice for my situation? I will be honest, I am worried about external perception that people will only see the position of DVP, they may not appreciate how senior the position is within the company.

As a software engineer with over 2 years of experience, I've faced significant challenges at my current company. I started working since 2019 every 1/1.5 yrs I am constantly switching companies because of toxic environment, work life balance, poor career growth, my current company is the 4th company, my question here is am I expecting more or it's common among everyone or it is normalized, also it takes more than 3 months for me to understand the business In every company, I was very productive in my first role took responsibility for all my team's work, but appreciation didn't happen instead blame game politics was initiated so it made me switch for the first time and went to another company as contract employee there 14 days of continuous work for 2 day leaves work life balance issue and moved to another company as con emp again there it is WFO my shift timings was 9 to 6 but prod managers will come at 12.30 and ask me to stay till 8 in the evening, it made my life worse, in my current role stupid general manager of sales doesn't know how a db works, asking me illogical request to be done.

Hey folks, this is M(23). I recently graduated with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a Tier-3 Govt.-Aided institute. I am facing a career dilemma. Despite decent academics, I wasn't selected by any of the 25+ companies I interviewed with, always making it to the final round. I settled for a 5 LPA with 9-5 timings and 2+ hours of daily commune (I had a 8.5 LPA offer from Vedanta but couldn't join due to circumstances), this has affected my confidence, and I'm considering competitive exams for a better package. I desire PSU job security (I am confident I can rank under 250 in GATE EE, General Category) along with the initial IT package of 30+ LPA to fund my entrepreneurial dreams. However, I am doubtful about taking the CAT exam and skeptical about GATE EE due to PSUs' policies against starting a business.

Hello all, I have 2 years of experience and it's for both voice and non voice process. I recently left a company where my package was 4.5lpa And joined ADP where my package is 5.8lpa. First thing first, I was hired on a contract basis for 6 months. Then there is no food facility, the cab takes more than an hour to arrive and we just wait for it, at times my shift ends at 2:30am and I will be still in the office waiting for the cab till 5:30am in the morning. After completing one month now they are saying that whatever leaves I took in the first month the amount for it will be deducted from my upcoming salary which is more than 12k, they did not inform us prior to that, that we are supposed to take only one leave in a month and that rest will be unpaid leaves. There is no sick leave, since I am in contact there is no insurance. I want to change company, but I am getting the maximum package as 4.8-5lpa. I want to ask what you guys do in such a situation? Please share your thoughts.

Actually, I was working for a lame interior designing company by helping them for performance improvement. The database is poorly managed, and gathering data is totally unstructured whenever I mention things related to data that pulls my work process back to my manager he points out other people and say how they are working, but they are not even doing things as difficult as mine, and this head of planning is truly a 3rd rated unskilled boomer who shouts at me everytime when he doesn't get desired result which cannot be done with all limitations in tools, for eg he needs 1 year data the query involves 11 tables but it should run with 5 mins window and it will never happen, I can wake people who is really sleeping but I couldn't wake people who is acting like 😴 💤, I need your inputs here, how to handle people like this in future and what to do if the environment is too bad like this company.

MBA vs Zomato's Chief of Staff Role?

As someone who was considering an MBA and was ready to invest 20 Lakhs into a good Bschool degree. After reading about Deepinder Goyal's offer, I must say that I am confused. See investment dono me hi hai, however MBA will take 2 years before giving me a good job, whereas in Zomato's offer I'll be earning within just a year. Plus the learnings will obviously be better in a direct job role with Zomato's CEO. However a good Bschool's degree will obviously give returns in the longer run. And yes, there's this fact as well, that you only do MBA once! So yeah, I'm pretty confused now. What say guys? What should I choose?

I’d like to switch companies but not sure which to go since there are many cons than the pros in most companies. Most of the companies work 6 days a week with more than 11 hours work in a day and pay a little. that is so tiresome.
