HCLTech Announces 7% Salary Hike Amid Q2 Headcount Decline
Despite a 780-employee drop in Q2, HCLTech rolls out a 7% salary hike in October, with top performers seeing up to 15%.

That's pretty sweet, considering they also laid off 780 people.

I guess it's a way to retain talent and avoid more attrition. But it also seems like they're playing a risky game. If the economy takes a turn for the worse, they might have to cut costs again.

I'm just glad I didn't get laid off. But I'm also a bit worried about the company's direction. It feels like they're trying to have it both ways.

I have a crush on a coworker who's higher up and earns more😅We work in different departments, and while she is two years younger than me, she belongs to a higher pay grade of employees who earn almost twice as much as I do, although we do almost similar work. Do you have any tips on how to approach her without making things awkward?
