Wipro is one of the best employee centric companies I have ever seen in my career. Great work culture; gives equal opportunities to everyone; treats employee with respect and drives employee development programs.

Career path well laid out from agent level to Manager, timely salary, insurance coverage which includes medical, life, and accidental.

Now it is difficult to assess Wipro in it's entirety and my thoughts and opinions are based as per the location that I work/worked and a bit based on the project aligned: 1. Politics - especially in old projects. They have no program / training for new joiners at mid level positions and oldies wouldn't help at all. They would ensure to create a path of failure for a new incumbent. Good to join as a fresher maybe, but best to avoid for mid level positions. There is no control, follow up or guiding principles on inclusion of mid level management joiners. Too much of negative talks around and typical office bitching and gossiping all around. Works like a syndicate. 2. Office pickup & drop - The next worst thing. They are running a BPS/BPS without proper arrangement of drops. They don't have pickups 24x7, and fails to provide drops on time. There is always a chaos in the drop zone with employees shouting at transport coordinators. Mismanagement with drops all around. 3. Too much dependency on technology. A lot of things are centralized. Employees find it really difficult to get in touch with the right person and definitely the "human touch" is missed. My location does not have an employee finance related department. If you are in Wipro, you need a lot of help and direction to get your issue resolved. 4. Works like a medieval organization. Lots and lots of red tapism, chain of approvals needed to move forward with your work. 5. Zero work life balance. It's a sweat shop in BPO. Funnily they have a WLB policy... WORK LIFE BALANCE policy. 6. Worst pay Master.. Join to know. Pathetic increment in BPS. 7. Storyteller - They actually believe in storytelling, mostly fictional with some factual to acquire clients. End result suffering for many, except for the storytellers :) Tips: If possible, avoid BPOs for a healthy life. Wipro is no different.
