Freshers can learn and gain skills sets and can switch to another company. Tcs is not like company it is more of like school. After college you can start your professional journey from here. But it has its own drawback which I'll discuss in dislike section. Some of Its policy is good but also these have its own drawback XD. such as health insurance benifits, No layoff policy.

Lack of employee centric policy. Most of the people working here because of job security and life insurance benifits. Salary of a freshers is not practical according to current days scenario. Freshers have less scope to grow up and less promotion opportunities. No matters how much work are you delivering higher management will only force you to come back office. Some people do nothing literally just only sucking the company. Management is puppet. No ethics, integrity at senior level. Freshers are treated like resources. Senior's are egoistic and do manipulative tactics at freshers. More importance is given to non-skilled employee than skilled one. Veg ambience in regional places is not good. There is biasness and discrimination in regional offices.

Management sucks. Hr department is of no use, they will help you with nothing. No Appraisal or appreciation for young talents. Salary hike is literally so bad, there will no zeal left in you to work hard. Buttering your manager is considered the only option to get promotion in the company and it's a fact. And if you are genuinely hardworking you might get Appraisal but after many many years.

Most People don't care about their work, it is like we got into a non fireable job hence we are not gonna do quality work, similar to this management barely promotes people and when they do they offer very poor hikes.

Work pressure depends on the projects, if you are lucky you will only have 1 hour of work. If you are extremely unlucky you will have to work on weekends if the project demands without any compoff or benefits.

Old bags in the company decides your upraisal, if they have any vengeance or personal ego you will not get a good rating/performance band.

Work Life Balance depends on projects only. If you are skilled enough, your life will settle as TCS provide top notch job security. You will get lot of learning opportunity even in any projects.

In some projects, you may need to attend night meetings because most of the project's people are from onsite. So, you are required to attend the meetings during night times even you are working in Indian hours.
