TCS is an organization that keep a tagline "Building on Beliefs" but don't stay on their words. I feel it's a worst company and following primitive methodologies of work. Once the organization was saying only 25% of workforce will work from office by 2025 now has changed their words. Woth no work life balance, and minimum salary bands, I feel it's an organization forcing their employees to scramble with stupid policies. Being such a big organization, it should lead the Digital work Real life. But again, it is promoting and forcing employees to WFO inefficiently. It is an organization which don't give increments and promotions even if you are getting 5/5 points in reviews. In name of promotion, you will get more work and responsibilities without any increase in salary. In one word, the suffocation is increasing day by day in TCS. Collegues, and company cultyre of TCS should be the benchmark in IT sector. And there is always to learn something, from collegues, management, or by ourselves. Job security is excellent.

Salary and benefits doesn't do any good, as per industry standards. Appraisals and peomotions also at mercy of managers only.

Work culture is amazing. Work life balance is also great. But with someone like me who needs work and wants to constantly learn, tcs wasn’t the place to start. It’s good for mid level careers, not for freshers.

Work life balance is completely based on your project. If you are lucky you'll be peaceful with your work. Infrastructure is good

No learning opportunities. Promotions are often withheld for no reason. No salary benefits and negligible hike. Some projects dont even appreciate your hardwork.

In TCS you have flexibility....you can choose projects, reject projects, learn lot of things through various learning platforms. Though during project, sometimes managing learning is an uphill task. Low salaries for long timers is a big drawback. It boasts of being agile but does not use agile for running its own day to day operations. Resourcing is in a big time mess, people working on project have to invest a lot of time in resourcing, there's no dedicated team within the projects ( even projects as large as with 300 people). Quarterly bonus is almost certain to be zero at 12+ yr experience levels. Old school mentality still exists in TCS, where wearing Jeans is a crime on weekdays. Working at TCS boost our energy and talent with all the real time mentors and humble managers. Team work is an excellent experience.

Dislikes

The salaries and hikes are too low compared to other organisations. If the assosiate don't get satisfied with the work and pay then there will be dissatisfaction which might affect the efficiency of work.

The work culture is not good.. Keep working like typical corporate slave.. HRs don't share the policy when asked.. on top of that it depends on the project side and the manager to approve certain policy.. Then why it is made a TCS policy not sure.. ex. WFH for non birthing parent

Very stingy management Employees get only salary but no goodies, team lunches or sponsored celebrations. Laptops given are poor in condition to many and warranty of the laptops are not tracked properly. Employees are forced to pay for any damage even for a 2 year old laptop

TCS is very good organisation to work for 10 - 15 plus year of experience people. Nice culture and work life balance. Good on-site opportunities. Don’t expect much salary hike and growth. Again it depends upon your project to project.

-Salary increment is very poor compare to inflation rate a lot of deductions, also during increment they just adjust some of the components in the CTC, no promotion since 3 years just changing positions and increasing workload internally (that also not on the paper) and not giving money for additional workload (simply exploitation) and lot of micromanagement. - They prefer to give more packge to new joiner than currently working professionals who already have expertise and we have to train them, also sometimes they used to get work done from freshers for cost cutting; here also we have to train the freshers. - Also some of the project managers are expecting a work from employees during weekends too. - And the limit was reached when they asked to submit backpack when I was leaving the organization which was provided during the joining time otherwise you have to bourne money i.e. cost of backpack as a fine (never seen such a miser organization before)....Read More
