Likes

I like the work culture, polite and friendly management. Very good work life balance working at TCS with good job security. Many learning platforms are also provided where you can upgrade your learning skills. Good support will be provided in medical and mental issues. Every software employee should work in TCS at sometime but ignoring the pay.

Dislikes

Compensation, benefits and hike are very poor. No value and recognition even after serving the company for many years. Doesn't normalize the salary based on market standards even after requesting higher management. Many other organizations are paying 3 times more salary compared to TCS for employees having 5+ years of experience. Also notice period is 90 days which is a big concern.

Confused about Salary negotiations

CTC - 8 LPA Loc - Bengaluru, India I have been working in the same company for the last 5 years. My salary went from 3.6 LPA to 8 LPA over the years. I recently put papers, and, started giving interviews. I got an offer from TCS for 15 LPA(12.8 fixed). For more than a month, I've been giving interviews, asking for 18 LPA and many HRs are rejecting straight away, citing it is more than 100% hike from my current CTC. I kept trying and now I am selected for 5 companies - Iris Software, Capgemini, Quantzig Analytics, PwC, HCL, Infinite. Salary discussions are about to start and I'm confused. I'm not good at this. Can anyone suggest?
