Now company has started working on new technologies and trying to make a product out of it, I am part of that team. So work satisfaction is there, along with no mandatory WFO ( it mostly depends on your project and manager).

Dislikes

Appraisals will be very less even if you are top performer. There are a lot of process involved to get certain approvals. No proper communication on hike cycle this time

One thing only that no one cares about you mean to say when are you coming or going to office...now it's upon you takes it positive or negative....HCLT or Wipro these companies are kind of Desi companies...if u r 3.1 + above band then 15-20 % salary they will make as bonus and wipe out

No salary increase from past 2 years, its luck for you if your manager hear your query, also 1-2 years of experience HR will be top of your head doesn't matter how much experienced you are

Negligible appraisal. No promotions . There is no standard of giving salary. Junior employee in same team with lower band could have higher salary than senior with upper band. They do not give any goodies on Diwali/new year. They do not give any money on referrals. Just the extra miles points.

They try to fraud you in whatever way possible. They drag everything as long as they can. All bonus, rewards strech easily to 1 year delay and if you resigned in between you are not eligible even if it's their fault in delay. No ethics. No rules.

Job security, international client base, on-site, decent facilities in office, multiple technologies so you can move internally and learn.

Dislikes

Poor salary hike, people loyal to the company are under appreciated, no mechanism to match the salary of existing employees as per market standards no matter how skilled or certified we are. Lazy employees who are in good books with managers are not questioned leading to more workload on employees who are hard working. Regional politics and use of regional languages by senior management.

It was my first it job and it was terrible. I was in project at the time of my maternity leave.my manager gave me low rating because of my maternity in annual performance and she gave me reason as budget issue.later my hr called me and ask to resign because of low rating.

a good management gives good results. I like most of the things in HCL. 20kms to my home and flexible hours but the wrong person to manage project ruin everything.

No hike, no early release, Hcl does not follow the policies but we need to follow the policies. zero health benefits. worst project management. Variable pays are worst of all these negative points. Helping an employee to resolve an issue is hardest part. refering own people to projects. Healthy hiring but the bench strength is bigger than what they need.

If you come inside this company please don't expect any salary increase and career growth ever. Their variable is the biggest scam and everytime you receive the very little hike most of it goes into variable and they always reduce the variable and you end up with reduced salary. Liers, in press conferences they said appraisals will be given to employees in OCTOBER while they have not even provided it till December and is expected to move forward to JAN OR FEB which was earlier expected for July. In short since 2 years no appraisals. Moreover forget about appraisals, they will even cut your EPB component. They don’t even have any process for deciding EPB payout, they randomly decide it. Appraisal cycle is very bad. It extends till months. Employee only hopes to stick to same team, manager and project till the letters are released. Any organizational changes within this 9-10 months of period screws the whole appraisal for an employee.

If you want a safe job where you dont get laid off, then this is a good company. They give you a healthy work life balance.

Forget about appraisals, hikes or bonuses. In 2 years i got zero hike. When they change project they could change your base location even without your consent. I was hired as an automation engineer but later i had to switch to linux System Engineer role.
