Only job security is a pro in HCLTech, unless you are someone with 15-20 years of experience at some management level.

Dislikes

Hardly any projects, only support projects are there. Skill development is poor. Pathetic salary hikes. Appraisal cycle will be postponed without any reason.

It is an amazing company with a good work culture. Provides a healthy environment. When talking about increment & salary hike it doesn't justifies the name it has. Very poor policy when you'll talk about increment from your HR Partner he would don't even reply to that.

Apart from job security , there is nothing. Also if you are fresher you can start your carrier since it is so called big MNC, but don't stay here more than 2 years if you are fresher.

Nothing is there to like. Initially job security was a benifit now they are making increasing efforts to make sure all experienced employees leave and they fill all positions with interns and freshers for a salary of less than 15k month

Negligible appraisal. No promotions . There is no standard of giving salary. Junior employee in same team with lower band could have higher salary than senior with upper band. They do not give any goodies on Diwali/new year. They do not give any money on referrals. Just the extra miles points.

In HCL salary breakup is a biggest scam. Because if you are joining company with 15 LPA, your take home will be around 95K. Remaining 30k is not assured to return to you. So please dont join HCL if your family is fully depends only on your salary.

Liers, in press conferences they said appraisals will be given to employees in OCTOBER while they have not even provided it till December and is expected to move forward to JAN OR FEB which was earlier expected for July. In short since 2 years no appraisals. Moreover forget about appraisals, they will even cut your EPB component. They don’t even have any process for deciding EPB payout, they randomly decide it. There are very few and supporting leaders in the company.

No work life balance. No proper estimation and unrealistic targets which in turn affect the employees working timings without any allowance. We are forced to work in weekends to meet the target. Only 3% hike when the company can sponsor for cricket. HR doesn't support employees but rather support the leadership. There is nothing to like, only they cutoff from your salary. They give 5% hike & add 4% variable into that hike. So basically you can't do anything, even hr nothing helps.

No, nothing any thing. Ni growth, no timely appraisal, no bonus and night shift allowances, no promotion. I had worked for HCL around 4 yrs but in this over all experience only 35k incremental.
