It mostly depends on the team where you work. Fortunately I got a good team. And got help from seniors whenever and wherever required.

Dislikes

The company has very less challenging projects. So most of the projects are monotonous and you will loose interest very soon. So in terms of career growth you will feel lacking here. Also the compensation and hike are also not good.

Work Details

I started my career at Cognizant as entry level trainee, after training got tagged to EPM team. There I learnt the technology. I had done 3 projects there but 2 of them are support project and scope of learning is very less here.

There is no appraisal and salary hike. Promotion is a day dream here

There are many points 1. promotion criteria which is worst in all mnc. 2. salary hike is negligible. 3. even there is no such activities happened which makes you motivated through out the year.

Canteens and cafes are good. Job security is nice.

Dislikes

Client first approach always followed. Agile methodology or Sprint planning is often overlooked to meet client demands. Work-life balance is not followed. Extended work hours is a very common practice and its considered normal for Cognizant.
