Bad company culture Slave system Compulsory WFO for 5 days a week 3%hike that too delayed by 6 months Toxic Managers Useless HRs Hired us through campus placements as programmer analyst and gave us service desk role. No training was provided by company and cheated us . We were around 1000+ who got the same support roles after being selected as programmer analyst from campus.

Its completely dependent on the Manager you are reporting to, but ideally the evironment is not great. The senior managment doesn't know how to lead by example. They are trying to enfore work, they are in frenzy

Senior management isn't great. They are just reacting to different situations, but ideally no proper governance.

Cognizant has strong capebilities in delivering technology services with a robust support. People are satisfied working here but since past couple of years company has not given ample opportunitiesto employees in terms of growth and compensastion

Not good approasal No timely appraisal No promotion policies No standard salary parameters as per exp No benchmarking for compensastion

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

Dislikes

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Not getting hikes, increments. Not recognizing hardwork we did. No claims for medical emergencies as there is lot if rules for everything. No work life balance Need to work officially 10hr and unofficially 14hr, lots of work pressure. No cab facility. I joined Cognizant as a fresher and it’s a best place for starting your career. Culture is very good maybe because of company USA origin. I got good ratings for my hard work without any politics.

Dislikes

Salary and hike is low. Waiting period for promotion is so high even though if you have top year end rating.

Salary comes on time. Leaves also gets approved easily.

Dislikes

No work life balance. No projects in company so they silently fires. Not so good culture. Not so get promotion(1-5%hike only) or no benefits (whole year). Not that much bonus yearly.

No hike, no job security, no skill development, no easy transportation.even if you learn new technologies they will ask for experience and make you work in technology which you already know.if you do "jing jack" you will get everything else you will be cornered and make you to think resigning is best than staying there

Liked the policies that is shown publicly or that a employee will feel initially but later when employees faces problems there is no guidelines and proper accountability.

Dislikes

The internal policies and politics are very bad. The managers are too arrogant. There is no way the employee can provide appraisal to the managers. There should be a appraisal process for Managers from employees as some companies are having.

I work in software testing as an automation plus manual tester. Nowadays there are many manual testers don't have opportunities in projects because projects are looking for those candidates who works in both! And what cognizant is doing that they show the client that candidate has experienced in both auto and manual and share fake profile with them. They just take normal interviews and select us. But once you get the projects, you will have lot of work which you never did earlier. And continuous work pressure will be there. Due to this there is no work life balance at all. We need to available with clients timings. I would request you my friends that if you don't know some things or not aware about any technology then just say no to the interview. They will surely prepare you from interview perspective but the work is not easy as we think. Once you get the client project then they won't even ask you how it's going..
