Company is good but sometimes your management is frustrating. Biased to favourites. Skilll development used to happen when i joined but disappeared with time. ( earlier they used to proivde six sigma training but never after that). Its unfortunate that your manager never shows data on the basis of which you are rated. Just verbal words and assumption. If they want to fire you they will put work pressure on you and appoint their pawn around you who will point fingers on you and sometimes plays with your emotions as well. Even if you are working hard you or your team will be never recognized. Suddenly after you left / aur asked to volunterly resign by HR your team will become best team on the floor because it was then headed by the same pawn. Salary as per industry standards is less, Increment as per previous followups has not been great. But favouritism plays it's part.

Employee welfare is just a show! They do actually care for their employees. They just see them as money making machines, if they are on maternity or pregnant or going through personal issues can be easily replaceable without giving a second thought about what happens to that employee

Unable to explore learning opportunities as there is no support from supervisors, and moving to next level takes alot of time than usual, the variable pay comes based on supervisors rating rather than ur performance and there is no BOnus, salary hike is very minimal in health care domain.

I liked the ambience and my colleagues in my healthcare domain we used to call by names and not by Sir or Madam Cognizant given me when it comes to personal growth

Many things I dislike about Cognizant that is their washrooms were not clean and planetary area. Everywhere there are cockroaches. The management here is good, but favourite ism and in equality among employees was done based on the religion criteria and not everyone was treated fairly not speaking in regional language Taking cooked up meetings when there is any sick leave taken with document’s but not approved by Manager, then it would be considered as LOP. I still remember an escalation was done by me by a behaviour of my SME. But when I mentioned the same to a manager, he stated he will surely look into this and the next moment, I saw him laughing with my Sm. Management will not care about your problems. Salary is low compared to competitors. They'll change your project at September and for year end rating they'll simply say we haven't got chance to fully understand your capabilities as you've recently joined in the project. The most I disliked is the annual hikes which is just peanuts. They have given 3-5% hikes to all the employees ( 5% was the maximum hike given to the top performers, rest all got 3-4%. Management forced us to work on weekends from office which could have been easily managed from home as no one comes on weekends and feels like I am in graveyard, and the entire bay remains empty.

As a technical support analyst, your leaves depend on the team. I worked on 3 different teams 1. Large team you have to preplan the leaves minimum 15 days before the start of each month, so it is hard to get leaves for festivals 2. Good manager always approved leaves 3. Can't even imagine to take leave tightly packed roster. Work life balance is good because I was in work from home most of the time.
