Auto Promotion seems to be a good thing however, I didn't get it as I am completely 2 years with organization

No HR representative transperancy to contact, I thought that every employee tries to avoid the risk from doing the task

Its completely dependent on the Manager you are reporting to, but ideally the evironment is not great. The senior managment doesn't know how to lead by example. They are trying to enfore work, they are in frenzy

Senior management isn't great. They are just reacting to different situations, but ideally no proper governance.

Overall typical service based company, with lower appraisal %, ideal to stay for 3 years max, else growth would be stopped compared to market and you will be in comfort zone.

Appraisal cycle is worst, they do rating in Dec month and release in Jan, but appraisal will be in impact from June salary. Promotion is a problem here, and you will have to cry every year. It takes minimum 3 years once u r at one level to expect promotion.

Learning scope is good. You have a dedicated platform to explore and learn the skill of your choice at your convenience.

Dislikes

Promotion cycle/criteria changes recently adopted (Internal Job Moves) - allowing supervisors to promote the resources to next level without a specific criteria. This is creating official platform for favourability.

There is no recognition for work, performance ratings are mostly average even after outperforming and fulfilling all the parameters set by supervisor, one can not expect promotion if they have joined as an experienced candidate for atleast 5-6 years even after being eligible

Opportunity to learn - since people are leaving everyday !

Most of the senior mgmt in cognizant are old , stubborn, egoistic and obnoxious people . They refused to work in teams, they refused to work at par with young associates and they have a very capitalistic mentality - they won't read mails and ask for updated on weekends ! The tools used in CTS are outdated and buggy making the work very very slow

-Its a big organization and there are bureaucracy. But still the process are smooth (Yes, there are delays here & there which is expected) - You have the flexibility to work from any cognizant location you desire (Depends upon some project too) - I personally didn't have any problems availing leaves, which is one of the few things I really appreciate.

- Favoritism ( u will get every opportunity if u are an a** licker) - No scope for growth (If you ambitious, even a little bit do not join this organization. The promotion & salary hikes are horrible) - Leadership team is pathetic. If push comes to shove, they will throw you under the bus and will not hesitate. As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.

Dislikes

Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

I feel like a home and work space in cognizant is extremely good, I really wish to work with your company again.

If you are not satisfied with anything here that's all depends on your reporing manager. Since my reporing manager is below average, my bonus salary hike is worst, and promotion never think of it even if I stay here for next 3 years. I got first promotion and 100% hike in just 1 year when my ex lead was there, it has been almost 3 years from my last promotion from then very less hike.
