Cognizant have lot of job opportunities and provide nice pay according to market standards. People working in cognizant can switch to other technology and work on it.

Hikes are very less when compare to other companies. Due to internal politics talented people efforts are recognised.

Work life balance is good. Job satisfaction is also fair. Company pays fair enough. I am not satisfied or I should say I am not impressed with the appraisal procedure implemented by the management. Post 1 year no appraisal at all or the performance bonus. They have their own way of doing it in the month of July or August and it doesn’t matter when you have completed 1 year.

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Management will not care about your problems. Salary is low compared to competitors. They'll change your project at September and for year end rating they'll simply say we haven't got chance to fully understand your capabilities as you've recently joined in the project. As a technical support analyst, your leaves depend on the team. I worked on 3 different teams 1. Large team you have to preplan the leaves minimum 15 days before the start of each month, so it is hard to get leaves for festivals 2. Good manager always approved leaves 3. Can't even imagine to take leave tightly packed roster. Work life balance is good because I was in work from home most of the time.
