No promotion for more than 2 yrs, manager citing dumb reasons like he got low rating so take yours low as well. Asked to invent new things, create issue and solve them to show as achivement. Repeatative copy paste job, manager is dumb, higher management don't care anything abt employee.

Leave approvals are rarely granted, and the work environment is highly demanding. Being on the bench puts you in the red zone, whereas being in a project offers job security.

The most I disliked is the annual hikes which is just peanuts. They have given 3-5% hikes to all the employees ( 5% was the maximum hike given to the top performers, rest all got 3-4%. Management forced us to work on weekends from office which could have been easily managed from home as no one comes on weekends and feels like I am in graveyard, and the entire bay remains empty.

As a technical support analyst, your leaves depend on the team. I worked on 3 different teams 1. Large team you have to preplan the leaves minimum 15 days before the start of each month, so it is hard to get leaves for festivals 2. Good manager always approved leaves 3. Can't even imagine to take leave tightly packed roster. Work life balance is good because I was in work from home most of the time. Job security depends on situations. Few of my friends were in bench for more than 6 months, happily receiving salary without joining any project. While one of my friend was dismissed from cognizant because of not reporting to office during bench time. When tire 4 and 5 companies gives good hike, meanwhile this company is soo kanjoos to give hike. Also every year they use to change the months of the hike. One year it will be April another year it will be August without arrear. Please don't go to this company.

Most of the senior mgmt in cognizant are old , stubborn, egoistic and obnoxious people . They refused to work in teams, they refused to work at par with young associates and they have a very capitalistic mentality - they won't read mails and ask for updated on weekends ! The tools used in CTS are outdated and buggy making the work very very slow

-Its a big organization and there are bureaucracy. But still the process are smooth (Yes, there are delays here & there which is expected) - You have the flexibility to work from any cognizant location you desire (Depends upon some project too) - I personally didn't have any problems availing leaves, which is one of the few things I really appreciate.

- Favoritism ( u will get every opportunity if u are an a** licker) - No scope for growth (If you ambitious, even a little bit do not join this organization. As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.

Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.
