CG has acquired a number of companies and the culture in those units is largely different from the CG culture

No salary, always given excuse even if we work hard, have been in Capgemini for last 10 Yeats they don't bother for increment. New joiners gets good hike and at last they are non performance, all work we have to do

Here, leadership need everything in next one hour. Leadership will give all fresher under lead and asked to get the work done.no salary hike from last 2 year. Only boot leaker get promotion though there is some compliance issue.

I made a big mistake by resigning from my past organization, I was getting a manager role, so I moved here. CG have old culture, like savings means remove people. Senior managers will ask I need automation, but they don't know meaning of Automation. When my team perform automation, instead of appraising it, they will say, now workload is reduced, remove a senior person and hire a fresher in place of him. resign ASAP. last year, people were getting Oncall and Shift allowance. Now they have made a rule that eaither 1 can be taken. so now people are loosing approx 3,000 per month. which is 36K in year. they have reduced internet expense from 1000 to 500. so 6K per year reduced. so overall loss of 42K per year. also they have variable pay of 10% of your salary. Now in year end, they have given few fellows as 12K hike, so even a duffer can understand that his take home is reduced by 30K. also if you are average performer then they have reduced 12% of variable. so overall, from last year you will lose 50K by default. so before you join this trap, resign ASAP....Read More

Everything. Recruited me in Java role, placed in devops oriented monitoring role which I had no relation in skill set wise. Had to learn and deliver 5-6 new technologies/scripting languages in first 4 months. Pathetic managers and higher management, full of micromanagement, has software oriented hours monitoring in laptop. Lots of work pressure, burnout, no work life balance. Work life balance is good. Company culture is very good. Job security is normally good although in some teams especially when market is bad, Capgemini has strict bench policy.

Appraisals are very poor. Like 5% average for top performers. Some BUs offer 8% (for top performers). Promotion hike is also less. Sometimes people get dry promotion. Otherwise company is good.

Too much politics ...RMG, Hr and junior managers don't know how to talk with new joiners or with employees. Hr's and manager are too confused about job role and salary/ location discussion. At first they agree on everything but once you joined they company they deny on everything that has been discussed earlier even if it's on mail ..and put you on bench and after 6 months asked you to leave due to bench period over or you are not able to be billable. Also your probation with not be confirmed and having said that they will kick you out of the company. Even if you complain to HR about the issues. So if you want to stay in this company don't stand for your rights and just stay as per them because manager and HR ...they can change policy anytime as per their convenience and ask to to obey otherwise there will be termination which leads to no job security in this company....Read More

HR policies too worsts, I have cleared the technical rounds and not released offer letter. HR reply is previous company which worked 10 yrs back not functions now its in default list. How come employee responsible if any companies closed. If Capgemini also not functioning after some period of time, want to blame employees? I have all the documents and worked genuinely for all companies and requested to HR to check that period of time companies functioning or not. HR disconnected the call and no response for calls or messages. HR unprofessional behavior disappointed . My humble request all, Pls don't join Capgemini they not following any standard policies. Popular paid certifications are not free for Capgemini. There is a process so that half amount will be paid by company but there's lots of terms and conditions, and even the payment is not done on time. Barely any salary hike after 2.5 years
