I applied via Approached by Company and was interviewed in Jul 2024. There was 1 interview round.
I was approached by the company for the job of customer service executive last week. So I went there for an interview. At other companies, the first round is taken on one by one basis. But to my surprise, the interviewer named Preeti Doshi called all the 20 candidates in one room and started taking our introductions. I have never seen this kind of interview anywhere before. Now comes the most important part, those candidates including me who said that they where preparing for government exams earlier in their life, got rejected on the spot. The interviewer didn't even consider that we no longer have the age of appearing for government exams anymore. Based upon our history of preparing and appearing for government exams, she rejected us. She didn't even consider our communication skills and other skills relevant for the job. Before going for the interview, I also confirmed with the HR regarding this. But she said that merely appearing for government exams in the past won't create any issue in the hiring process. But in the interview, we observed just the opposite. We were not even allowed to proceed to the second round.
