Round 1 - Group Discussion 

I was approached by the company for the job of customer service executive last week. So I went there for an interview. At other companies, the first round is taken on one by one basis. But to my surprise, the interviewer named Preeti Doshi called all the 20 candidates in one room and started taking our introductions. I have never seen this kind of interview anywhere before. Now comes the most important part, those candidates including me who said that they where preparing for government exams earlier in their life, got rejected on the spot. The interviewer didn't even consider that we no longer have the age of appearing for government exams anymore. Based upon our history of preparing and appearing for government exams, she rejected us. She didn't even consider our communication skills and other skills relevant for the job. Before going for the interview, I also confirmed with the HR regarding this. But she said that merely appearing for government exams in the past won't create any issue in the hiring process. But in the interview, we observed just the opposite. We were not even allowed to proceed to the second round.

Or else this will be the only reason for your rejection in the very first round. Moreover the interviewer won't tell you on the spot that you are rejected. She will tell you that you leave for the day. If your profile is selected, you'll be informed. But this is rejection, because after that you won't be receiving any updates from the company regarding this.

If you're reading this, it means you are in search of a job, be it your passion or regarding your situations.

After joining in this company, I realised one thing. Happiness doesn't comes with the increase in your CTC nor even in the extra benefits. It always lies in the work that you love to do. Never ever feel inferior, or depressed by thinking what others are actually thinking about you (especially your current position in life). But remember, it's not them who make you happier. It is you.

So, when you're going to give an interview, just be hopeful and confident. During the interview process, just make sure your seating position is comfortable. Then take a deep breath and relax your facial muscles. Then understand the question clearly that are asked by the interviewer, and then speak out without fumbling. There's no need to hurry up like you're a superfast express, just stay calm and speak out clearly.
