Upskill tie ups are good.

HRs won't cares about you are alive or dead. No help arrives on your need. No one responds if you raise a helpline ticket and wait for eternity. Even if you got good appreciation and award recommendations from client your promotion is based on certifications you pursue which is a reason to provoke your promotion. Salary hike is a joke.

There was too much politics in my project. Few people in project were misusing their powers and impacting other people appraisal, upliftment. These people who has few power, they have been with Wipro more that one decade and only was able to secure small positions in these long career in one organisation. And their they were running the other energetic skilled employees career.

I did like my old team but when the new team came, it just keep getting weird.

Dislikes

The HRs are biased towards managers and they work closely to remove employees from there if the manager is not satisfied or employee have reported a concern to HR but HR removes the employee from Organisation. No actions are taken on managers.

Working at Wipro has been a mixed experience. As a Senior Software Engineer, I’ve had the opportunity to work on large-scale projects like Inventory Normalization and RH Fuse, which have helped me grow technically in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. The exposure to enterprise-level problem-solving is definitely a plus.

One of the biggest issues I’ve faced with Wipro is the Full & Final (F&F) settlement process. Despite returning my laptop at the office, they deducted the laptop charges in my F&F. It seems they misplaced it somewhere, and now it has become a heavy task for me to resolve this. Till now, I haven't received any resolution, and it’s frustrating to deal with such mismanagement. Everyone is treated equally and respectfully which shows a great culture Job security is there as we have not seen anyone kicked out of company but the company might create circumstances where you leave on your own, by not promoting or not providing appraisal. Hybrid work culture is good anyone below manager level needs to come to office for 2 days in a week which really helps.

Salaries are below average, I have seen freshers working for 17k per month even if they get promoted after a year or two they would get a maximum increase of 20 percent which would make their fixed component somewhere near 21k which is really less in this time. Appraisals are always single digit ileven if you are a top performer youwould get nothing more than a 8 percent. There is multiple hierarchy of managers and leads. Nobody even know what we are doing for clients. Some managers are so dumb that they doesn't even know who our clients are. Still they get to decide on our appraisals and promotions.
