Lots of time to binge watch youtube and netflix content as you won't have anything productive to work upon. Each year working here is a year wasted of your professional career.

The company has kept the tata code of conduct to fool outsiders. They violate all of its policies. And even Ratan Tata knows this but since this is a profit making organization, they let this exploitation of employees to happen silently. The hr policies are meant to trap the employees. The policies are in favor of the managers only.They hire you as a developer but then assign you to a support project. Even if you question this move, they will form a group with delivery managers, project directors and the hr to threaten you to do that work. On most occasions the day starts at 11am and support calls go up to 1am. The managers are inhumane that they'll force you to skip your personal work and join calls on weekends. All of this and the pay you get is peanuts. There is no appreciation for the hard work you put in. The compensation is below the 25th percentile for your experience and skill sets. The managers are people managers whose skills are excel, PowerPoint and dirty politics. This company is not for aspiring software developers. Its a big NO for freshers. Its suitable for those who are reaching their retirement age and want a job where they don't do anything except following up and threatening junior support executives. The company excels in false promises, lowest compensation, senior appeasement, bad work culture, assigning irrelevant work and bad work-life balance. Please DO NOT join this company if you want a good and prosperous life else be prepared to be played upon by low skilled, uneducated managers who mostly were the failure students of their times....Read More

Work Details

Its mostly support work. They hire you for a developer role but then falsely trap you for support work. Need to find why an excel sheet is not populating, why an app's button is not responding, reset password for user, etc.

One of the software engineer in tcs having 4 years of experience called me while skill evaluation and he told me " people begging me to get coding in this project. You have to work under me only.". If you mail to anyone in tcs, he will not respond unless and until you add someone higher authority person in CC. Only big doesn't matter and building big is not end but the way you setup process to work organization is important. Functioning is important and not the size. If your project is good, you're well settled for life. No fear of layoffs.

Company actively tries to screw you. They'll do everything in their power to make you feel miserable so that you quit the company and they don't have to fire you. The have strict standards for uniform and attendance like it's a school.
