1. Being an IT service company still work life balance is really good for most of the projects. 2. The training and development programs are also good and accessible to everyone in the company. 3. Huge project counts touching almost all types of technologies. High job security.

1. Poorest salary structure in the Industry, lowest to nil YoY increment. 2. Outdated appraisal process; Strong favoritism, and local community culture. One can not survive with only talent. 3. Often good work, client appreciation not considered for career progress. Oiling seniors is the key. 4. Bonus (pay) cuts are common culture. You wont get what has been mentioned in CTC. Work life balance as compared to other companies it's better in TCS. TCS Office's are good. TCS canteen is great. TCS never layoff there employees, It's rare that TCS may fire you only due to some security reasons or else breach of conduct.

Not good for freshers, I'll recommend if your are a fresher and want to improve your skills then tcs should be your last priority, because as freshers if you want to grow in your career you have to face multiple challenges while working on your project which is very rare that you will face such challenges as you would be given some support role which would be some easier tasks like creating report and some similar stuffs and it's not important that you will get a project aligned to you skills you can get any kind of projects....Read More

Manager was very supportive they encouraged us to keep on learning and give our best. No extra hour of work we need to do. Incase of any doubt my lead and manager used to help us understand every single details of why and how we are going to fix it.

Good work life balance. They will not fire you.

Dislikes

Appraisals and promotions are very stagnant and mostly irrespective of your performance. Ratings are average for maximum people and if you outperform, you'll get 2% hike extra. That's it. And promotions are only on the basis of years of exp. And after completing that too, they can delay for an year or two.

Working culture is very toxic. If you don't like the tech stack you are working on or working environment in the project and if you asked for the release from the project either you have to leave the company or you have to work in the same project but you will not get release.
