It's a eco friendly campus, I was working in Pune hinjwadi. If we have time we can utilise the ground or invest our time in playing games or gym but completely depends on work and our project. It's good for working mothers but if your manager doesn't support you there will not be any work life balance. Other than job security/campus I didn't see anything great about TCS

Dislikes

There is a very minimal hike and no promotion nor growth. TCS is no more employee friendly. We have to go office all 5 days which is hell these days.... there is no support and policies are name sake but what ever project decide employees should follow.

If you show them your capable to handle any work, they won't elevate or give you additional responsibilities simply ask you to to do same task repeatedly and won't release you when you want to move for any other technology or domain after working so many years in same project. While HR Business Partners (HRBPs) are presented as an independent vertical, in reality, they function as enablers of senior management’s decisions rather than advocates for employees. The higher management, particularly within PS India (Indian projects), often exhibits unprofessional behavior—marked by arrogance, a lack of basic courtesy, and an unreasonable approach. During my initial tenure at TCS, I was unfamiliar with certain company policies. I was instructed to arrange self-funded travel with an assurance of reimbursement, only to later be denied repayment on the grounds of policy non-compliance. Shockingly, this refusal came after a whole year of persistent follow-ups, highlighting not only a lack of accountability but also a disregard for employee welfare—whether mental, emotional, or financial. Work culture is amazing. Work life balance is also great. But with someone like me who needs work and wants to constantly learn, tcs wasn’t the place to start. It’s good for mid level careers, not for freshers.

Dislikes

Manager shouts at you and humiliates you in front of others. They load you with too much work which takes 12 hrs of working in the weekdays and also in weekends. There is favoritism so you will have to also take up the work of people who do not work and happily butter manager for a living. It is a very toxic workplace. They keep 5 lpa as your variable pay and hardly pay 20 percent of that so your ctc is reduced by 4lpa straightway. Hike is 1 - 2 percent annually. They do not maintain any hygiene in the canteens and there are flies and cats and dogs roaming around. Bathrooms are dirty and so is the drinking water.
