I like the work-life balance at TCS. Job security is also one of the main things working in TCS.

Work-life balance - Good

Dislikes

Mai thing I disliked about TCS is Promotion and appraisals. Appraisals are only at single digits Like min 3 to Max 7 %. TCS will never compensate your appraisals to market standards. Promotional is also one of the hardest things to get. If you get the promotion only your CTC will get slightly higher side. Otherwise, no choice to improve your pay. Don't stay long in TCS once you get into the comfort Zone you never leave the company. TCS must be the ending point in job switching not to be your starting point. it's my general advice....Read More

Confused about Salary negotiations

CTC - 8 LPA Loc - Bengaluru, India I have been working in the same company for the last 5 years. My salary went from 3.6 LPA to 8 LPA over the years. I recently put papers, and, started giving interviews. I got an offer from TCS for 15 LPA(12.8 fixed). For more than a month, I've been giving interviews, asking for 18 LPA and many HRs are rejecting straight away, citing it is more than 100% hike from my current CTC. I kept trying and now I am selected for 5 companies - Iris Software, Capgemini, Quantzig Analytics, PwC, HCL, Infinite. Salary discussions are about to start and I'm confused. I'm not good at this. Can anyone suggest?
