Totally inhumane workforce management and shift time schedule, especially for IT Infra support and Service desk employees. Every company schedules rotational shifts for employees, but the shift time changes once in a months or 2 months at the least. But in Mindtree they keep changing the shift every week and sometimes once in every3 days. They used to schedule me for nights shift and then 3 days later they would change my shift to early morning 6am login for the next 3 days and then after 1 day week off, they change it back again to night shift. Sometimes they change my shift time after 1 day itself, so after logging out from night shift by 6.30am, again they made me login at 3.30pm noon shift on the very same day. Without even giving time for proper hours of sleep they are demanding unfair rotational shifts, totally ignoring and not bothered about employees health and forcing continuous changes in sleep cycle of employees is not something new for them apparently. Because when we complained to the management regarding this, they casually replied that this is normal practice at Mindtree and since we are working from home there should be no problem in logging into shift again after just 7 hours gap because its the project requirement due to less staffs in team. Also they dont provide leaves for Indian holidays as well as for American holidays. They try to run the projects by keeping less staffing than the required minimum, for cost cutting and profit making purposes, but at the cost of employees health.
