Big Infrastructure, Good Stable Company, good for the people who likes Job security! Salary is always on time, very good medical facilities and others employees' benefits. Overall, it is very nice company for sure!

Salary is on time but other incentives, your promotion, your bonus, your increments etc are in Arrears, You will get it for sure but always in arrears, HR is not at all effective. Just like your Job which is stable, your salary will be stable as well, please do not expect any other thing except Stability. Company culture in terms ofHR is not at all good, no major governance towards how management is calibrating an employee, how promotions are happening? That is the only reason I left HCLTech, otherwise, in other domains, might be the HR as people doing good things. HCLTech is a beautiful organization but some wrong people who are in that position to spoil the overall experience and culture, My advice is to hire good mature people in leadership positions and especially in HR domain. Recruiter promised that I will be receiving the entire variable pay for the first year but I received only for a month and from second month I have not even received 50 percent. No hike/night shift allowance for E3 and above bands . Every project have 3 managers (reporting manager, service managers, who will be part of HCL for 10 or 15 years ) , and who used to micromanage to an extreme, they will ask you to work on company holiday and they won’t approve your comp off or Pay for the holiday. It depends on project and client you are having. If your client is good your life is good else vice versa. HCLTECH has good infra and flexibility in working hours.

Dislikes

1st thing is increment, they follow minimum increment rule. Retention policy of HCL is worst, it's sort of trap. HRs and backend team not accessible and they are good for nothing. Policy are not employee centric. Variables are not paid in full and increment gets delayed by 6-10 months which is total waste

It logistics team provide some low grade olx laptops followed by itfo who never be able to fix laptop issues they just do some basic troubleshooting and give the laptop back to employees there is another one connect team who closes tickets immidiatly after raising it, it’s a chain of activities that needs to be done even after that they don’t replace your laptop. hikes and promotion are given after 9-12 months from the completion of appraisal. even if you get salary hikes, they are very low and below the market standards even if you get the highest rating. and the the hike or promotion effective is from after the 6 or 9 months of appraisal completion date which is a loss for the employee.
