Worst culture. No appraisals whatsoever. They just cancel out 6 months of annual appraisal which is btw 2-3% only. They hire in bulk and then dont have work for you and at the year end they just lay off. I am sure every company has a culture of outing or party for atleast once in a year. HCL used to have a budget of just 1500 rs per person in a year and now it is also trashed. No work life balance. You have only 18 annual leaves in a year but you will not be able to utilize that also because your manager will not let you. They just want you to be their*** Managers here are almost very experienced and they just know to humiliate their employees for every kind of work...Read More

The trainings are conducted and person can learn from it.
Mostly relying on 12th standard resources. They have Techbee graduates whom they want to do everything. They give training and they don't move the resource in that Technology. HR team is absolutely next to zero. They don't come in person. There is no Rewards and recognition. They just send one e-certificate which is of no use. Internal IT team they donno even how to work on tickets. If u request them to map a printer they ask u to create a incident saying that the printer is not working. Because they want only incident tickets. If u create other tickets.they don't work. Automation team does nothing. They really don't exist. They can only prepare a.ppt of.4.to 5.slides. other than that I haven't seen any good automation from them. From HCL to HCLTech they changed and advertised.nicely. but they didn't do anything.other.than providing an I'd card. HCL use to be nice before 10-12 years back. But not anymore....Read More

Very honestly saying, HCL lacking no where. But still some managers are making this company and work worse. Its very well said that peoples doesnt leave their company but managers.
Work policy: Normally people have to come 3 days a week but if manager is a true human and your are having some issue, they will consider your felexible reporting to office and even working hours.

The plus with HCL is like if you are lucky and get a good client/project you can have a good work life balance.
Their are multiple cons in the company - 1. They will deduct money from your salary unnecessarily in the name of variable which they say is rating based. I personally never got less than 9/10 in quarterly ratings but still they used to deduct around 60% from EPB. 2. Zero hikes / No promotions. In my almost 2 year career no hikes happened. 3. Bare minimum salary hikes. No promotion. Office politics too much. No job security, once you are in bench or rollout from project, your job will be in danger. Work life balance is pathetic... If you are working in support project they can call you anytime despite your shift gets over.

It depends on project and client you are having. If your client is good your life is good else vice versa. HCLTECH has good infra and flexibility in working hours.
1st thing is increment, they follow minimum increment rule. Retention policy of HCL is worst, it's sort of trap. HRs and backend team not accessible and they are good for nothing. Policy are not employee centric. Variables are not paid in full and increment gets delayed by 6-10 months which is total waste

It logistics team provide some low grade olx laptops followed by itfo who never be able to fix laptop issues they just do some basic troubleshooting and give the laptop back to employees there is another one connect team who closes tickets immidiatly after raising it, it’s a chain of activities that needs to be done even after that they don’t replace your laptop.
