There are very few and supporting leaders in the company.

No work life balance. No proper estimation and unrealistic targets which in turn affect the employees working timings without any allowance. We are forced to work in weekends to meet the target. Only 3% hike when the company can sponsor for cricket. HR doesn't support employees but rather support the leadership. One thing only that no one cares about you mean to say when are you coming or going to office...now it's upon you takes it positive or negative....HCLT or Wipro these companies are kind of Desi companies...if u r 3.1 + above band then 15-20 % salary they will make as bonus and wipe out

No salary increase from past 2 years, its luck for you if your manager hear your query, also 1-2 years of experience HR will be top of your head doesn't matter how much experienced you are

Work culture is quite toxic, a lot of micro mamangement. Process management within HCLTech is quite poor.

Appraisal & promotion process. Delivery team Mafia. Not providing/crediting appraised amount from April like every other company. Worst mid-senior management. Very commercial in providing health care to the employees. The good campuses and good health care units and good administration is only in couple of locations, rest is worst.

Somewhat job security is there. Most of the projects are long term and stable. Salary at entry time is good. Encourages employees to take up paid certification which is reimbursed.

Dislikes

No promotion/hikes for last 3 years. Management doesn't care about good performers. HR is just a myth in this company. Client and company combined try to extract every ounce of work possible from a single person.

Bad Culture....Top level enjoying like government No Job security - 4 weeks in bench ,then slient layoff Montly variable pay - Engagement performance bonus ,though u got above 8 rating most of the times deduction above 50% Annual variable pay- for sure they won't give Instead of giving 1000 crores as charity ,better hcl need to consider their hard work employees pain ....2023 paper released on 2025 January...that too for 2% and no change for most of the employees ....which shows where hcl is going....
