Only job security is a pro in HCLTech, unless you are someone with 15-20 years of experience at some management level.

Dislikes

Hardly any projects, only support projects are there. Skill development is poor. Pathetic salary hikes. Appraisal cycle will be postponed without any reason.

Hikes not more than 10% even you are exceptional performer. Promotions not happens. High work load. work life balance not apply. Poor HR policies.

For learning and experience this is good company.

Negligible appraisal. No promotions . There is no standard of giving salary. Junior employee in same team with lower band could have higher salary than senior with upper band. They do not give any goodies on Diwali/new year. They do not give any money on referrals. Just the extra miles points.

In HCL salary breakup is a biggest scam. Because if you are joining company with 15 LPA, your take home will be around 95K. Remaining 30k is not assured to return to you. So please dont join HCL if your family is fully depends only on your salary.

Now company has started working on new technologies and trying to make a product out of it, I am part of that team. So work satisfaction is there, along with no mandatory WFO ( it mostly depends on your project and manager).

Appraisals will be very less even if you are top performer. There are a lot of process involved to get certain approvals. No proper communication on hike cycle this time

One thing only that no one cares about you mean to say when are you coming or going to office...now it's upon you takes it positive or negative....HCLT or Wipro these companies are kind of Desi companies...if u r 3.1 + above band then 15-20 % salary they will make as bonus and wipe out

No salary increase from past 2 years, its luck for you if your manager hear your query, also 1-2 years of experience HR will be top of your head doesn't matter how much experienced you are

The appraisal process has been worsening day by day. People are getting No Change or negligible changes in annual appraisal. Monthly performance bonus is getting deducted for all. Very pathetic.

Management and HRs are very very bad. One manager name Mohit from Australia and Rohini from Singapore of my project for BP are very bad. HR name vikash also very bad. They are not listening any one. They are also sitting abroad and playing with companies brand value. Management should look into those person. For those kind of people others are getting suffocated at work location.

Overall HCL Tech is a very good company. If you need anything HCL provided like timing shift training no pressure from the senior side it very good hybrid policy I am completely satisfied with the company's working process.

I have been in hcl from past 5 years and it an OK company. Job security is good here. They will definitely align you in a project if you on bench. So okay for that. Appraisals are not so good they will always hold the appraisal letter untill December of every year. Work culture has been getting decreased day by day as they don't hire much. Perks and benefits are not good and deduction in salary on the basis of performance which is not good by compony . Every employee wants more and more hikes and who do not perform well for money . Who wants deduction but compony policy is to deduct from variables on the basis of performance .washrooms and breakout area are not hygienic .
