It depends on project and client you are having. If your client is good your life is good else vice versa. HCLTECH has good infra and flexibility in working hours.

Dislikes

1st thing is increment, they follow minimum increment rule. Retention policy of HCL is worst, it's sort of trap. HRs and backend team not accessible and they are good for nothing. Policy are not employee centric. Variables are not paid in full and increment gets delayed by 6-10 months which is total waste

hikes and promotion are given after 9-12 months from the completion of appraisal. even if you get salary hikes, they are very low and below the market standards even if you get the highest rating. and the the hike or promotion effective is from after the 6 or 9 months of appraisal completion date which is a loss for the employee.

Based on project and manager your skills will develop. There so many learning platforms and certification opportunities but they won't allow you in skill full projects

I worked in Cisco projects, there are so many disgusting managers in the Cisco LOB. They won't allow you develop your skills and professional life. you won't get a project which suits your skill set. There is no way to grow as most of the employees are in client place & nobody is here from HCL to check and validate our performance. Wondering how is the appraisal is been provided. Such a disorganized organization in the support to employees.

No hikes have been given for the past 3 years. If we ask, they say, "We'll give a hike next quarter." They don't provide cabs, and There is no scope for skill enhancement or technical upskilling.

actually I wasted one year of time here because I gave face to face interview for 3 rounds after selecting to HCL their was a internal project discussion which means internal interview that guy was very rude and finally he told like I don't know any thing waste candidate for position ....my question is like if I am not capable for that position why HCL is selected me ? It logistics team provide some low grade olx laptops followed by itfo who never be able to fix laptop issues they just do some basic troubleshooting and give the laptop back to employees there is another one connect team who closes tickets immidiatly after raising it, it’s a chain of activities that needs to be done even after that they don’t replace your laptop.
