No doubt EXL as an organisation is amazing and best company to work with, but when it comes to leadership and leaders it's one of the worst place to work. As leaders in EXL are politically driven and do not lead by example and this was the reason I too left EXL. But again want to mention that EXL as an overall organization is one of the best company to work with.
The leaders in EXL are politically driven and which was also the reason I was vocal but eventually I had to leave forcefully and without no reason they marked me as a blacklist employee for all future opportunities within.

The leaders are more into politics driven leadership rather than skill driven. Alot of favouritism happens here. Those who put efforts are put at the last and the dear ones are always kept first. I would never like to join EXL again.

I haven't like anything about this organisation... Although I had worked with this company for 6 years but that was the worst time of my life... I kind of trauma I faced there I can't explain.
Salary, lot of politics is there... Seniors are not promoting juniors on the basis of work , they are promoting on the basis of favouritism, work environment is pathetic..senior manager dosent know how to speak with subordinate, use offensive language while giving feedback... There is a mental harrasement of mine.. My senior manager use to speak non sense about my Hindu religion.
My life's biggest mistake is to join Exl

No pressure to be in office everyday.
1. Bad culture or no culture - unhealthy competition and politics is promoted by leadership by them not taking any action when the situation escalates 2. Resistance to good practices - some AVP level people don’t want to structure anything and prefer working in chaos rather than setting up a system 3. Some emerging accounts like Sports analytics, Media etc ., have really poor work like balance and a lot of micromanagement and toxicity. 4. For some leaders, the solution for every problem is to fire somebody or throw them under the truck 5. Hikes are really poor and promotion depends on how much you can suck up to your client and manager. 6. Substandard work is sold as high quality and high impact work whereas there are so many places EXL has opportunity to grow and follow industry best practices but this is ignored by leaders in some accounts 7. And that manager is so bad she said if you can't complete work you should resign this is the reason exl always hire and never get stopped because they don't have ability to make perfect older employees.
