Work-life balance: There is none. Additionally, get ready to have your private space invaded. Skill development: None to offer whatsoever. Redundant work with close to nothing in terms of improvement. Salary: Pays well. But not enough and nothing is enough to completely dismantle your work-life balance and your private life as well.Company culture: Worst. Plagued with internal politics and favouritism. Kolkata branch especially has deep-rooted nepotism so do make friends with the ones who have familiar connections with the top brass (If you're an unfortunate employee in the Kolkata branch). Job security: Officially EY doesn't believe in the hire-and-fire culture as communicated quite vocally by the HRs, but unofficially and as the truth is about them, if you get on the wrong footing with the seniors, they will make it a personal mission to see you're thrown out of the company. Promotions: Be on the good books of the nepo colleagues and they will have a good word for you with the higher management (their relatives) and viola! You have been promoted! Or, get on their bad books and see yourself getting thrown out the next year or so. Yes, work isn't a qualifying metric for promotions, sadly. Work satisfaction: If you are up for redundant work and looking for a place to exclusively retire yourself having done all the improvements and upskilling that you could in your entire career and finally said to yourself it's time to hang up the boots but still need a moderate source of income, then this is the right place for you to be and you'd be satisfied by how stagnant and redundant the work here is. The management is relaxed in terms of granting the leaves even if it is unplanned. No one disturbs during off time and after office hours. People are around to provide helping hand whenever stuck. Hikes and bonus is better than most companies around.

Dislikes

Lesser projects with better technologies and lesser growth opportunities in terms of tech stack. Many legacy applications are still operative which requires people to work on legacy technologies.

Overall a good organisation. Good benefit are provided like variable pay, health insurance, leave policy, learning opportunities. Work culture totally depends on the project. Good project will give great work life balance. Good work is highly appreciated.

Dislikes

Lack of technical experts, people in higher designation are really expert in managing, but SMEs are rare to find. Resource utilisation is really poor, always look to hire talent instead re-using and re-training existing employees. If the project is not good, then there is not work life balance.
