The culture and work life balance they foster is worth appreciating and the people/colleagues I have come across in Cognizant, are all wonderful.

Salary and compensation is very average, and I am not satisfied with the increment I am getting, which is an important factor for every employee.

But if you give more importance to mental health than salary don't join this company. You are literally a slave of the client and no body will speak for you.. and if your too lucky to get a client like Novartis(pharmaceutical company) and especially get into celonis tool project then you can say bye bye to your mental health and just hug the salary you get and stay. Working hard is not the issue but the politics they play and the slavery you guys will experience is more than what was done in the colonization period. They provide hybrid work culture & location approval as per your need that is the best thing of working in Cognizant.

Here job security is less & those people who were in bench were high chances of layoffs as they don’t get any project.

In some departments people (especially managers) don't even respond. And forget about HRs, they'll address your queries once ina blue moon.

I dislike the stubborn culture. They take feedbacks and then drain them through the gutter.

There will be plenty of scope to learn and improve yourself. You'll definitely go to different heights if you manage to stay here for few years and move out.

1. Do not expect much salary hikes. Even well performing employees have received less than 10% in the last 2 years.. 2. Do not expect promotions.

Teams are supportive and enough manpower is available for project management departments. Work is linear and outcomes are well estimated with realistic expectations from upper management. More opportunities are provided for an individual's upskilling. Additionally, opportunities in the bench pool are ample to explore new roles/tech.

Dislikes

Departments run without cohesive org structure; few teams are reinventing the wheel with the same routine work.

Very good culture especially if you are part of BFS business consulting group. Ample learning opportunities. You just need to have the zealth to learn. Lots of opportunities to work on asset building, business dev apart from usual client work.
