1. HR harass you by sending notice if you do not follow RTO policy. 2. Highest performer having rating 5 gets 4.5% and the one with 1 rating gets 1-1.5% yearly increment. Highly motivating. 3. You go to office and you don't get any seats as all are preb1ooked. Seat on a couch or cafeteria. Who cares!!! 4. Senior Managers are like micro managers and give preference to those who can handle their activities. 5. Work life balance is just name sake, even on holidays/ sick leave u need to address calls/ attend meetings. 6. It's expected that you are handling multiple account at the given payraise without complaining. 7. Few Managers are so frustrated that they will make your work on weekends as well and appreciate those who spend their weekends doing work rather than taking care of family. 8. You need to attend client meeting, Cognizant internal meetings, and a hell number of other meetings which does not make sense. 9. Reporting manager will be one and then you'll be handed over to other team who has a separate manager. It's like reporting to multiple managers/bosses. 10. No proper training for new joiners. 11. Training is mostly provided by Managers who are like there for a long time and they understand that training is something like handing over a document and the person will be figuring it out how to do the activity. I dislike the stubborn culture. They take feedbacks and then drain them through the gutter.

The appraisal process is not good. They are using the bell curve. That promotes mediocrity . They have multiple projects but they deploy you as per their convenience not as per your profile or preference.

Dislikes

No Job security, in the past one year I have seen alot of people getting forcefully terminated. There are almost no new project in CTS. Only the long term client still remains. Most of the newly hired freshers and being in bench for more than 18 months and getting terminated after that. Yearly Hike percentage dropped very very low.

I don’t know in which era the owners are living in, where they think giving 5 days of paternity leaves are more than enough. I think they feel that father has nothing n absolutely no contribution in child birth and care. That celebrate pride month for a month but paternity leave is for 5 days. Horrible

I liked working in Cognizant. It's mine first so glad to be part of such a good and renowned organization. Working here for the past 2.5 years where get various opportunities and project allocation in which working in execution team in EPS domain on Manhattan with a us based client as an offshore team and through it was wonderful.

Dislikes

As such no major issues I faced but ya as an organisation they can come up with some more fun activities and can work more for employees team building strength.

Very good culture especially if you are part of BFS business consulting group. Ample learning opportunities. You just need to have the zealth to learn. Lots of opportunities to work on asset building, business dev apart from usual client work.
