What's there not to dislike. Biggest issue is that there's no HR to raise ur concerns to. All they have is a portal and that too just for show.

It may vary project to project and management to management. My previous project experience is very bad due to the management only. My current project , client and management is quite good.

There is no skip level meeting happens and I found HRs are already teamed up with the management.

Good working culture among similar service based company. CTC is straight forward almost like a product based company where fixed component is more and variable component is less Good team and good development projects compared to support projects in other companies Good work life balance

Here HR’s don’t even listen to our problems. When we need help from HR’s they don’t even respond to our messages or mail but when they need something from us they directly call us. Here, TMP team will say you will get project but when our bench time ends they force us to take up service desk projects by lying you can change projectafter 6 months. They treat us like we are some garbage and they quickly want to throw us in some garbage pot. These service desk project team leads are uneducated, don’t know how hiring happens. Stability is good. Though in the ongoing global recession, many of my co-workers had to leave projects because of project ramp down and did not get any other projects. Instead of recruiting employees from bench in other projects they are hiring more from people outside.

Dislikes

Appraisal is bad. So joining with low salary does not help much in the long run, better to switch.

Work depends upon what project you get. Had a chance to work on a small project from scratch.

Work timings are pathetic. You work at your regular timings and still have to login later for client calls. In my case mostly extending till midnight. The hybrid culture here is totally unproductive. Upper management is worse, expects you to be available anytime for calls.

Few members of the global large deals team are worse. Priya raghav and Ashwini rathore doesn't know how to talk to people. Ashwini even talked about my family very rudely. I would suggest don't join cognizant. Even if you join, don't join the global large deals team. Your life will be miserable.

Well it's a very good place to loose your mind and and peace. With the best 10 hours work culture and no benefits. And the best thing is the ratings they give depends on their personal choice and mood and the best part is once the rating is given it cannot be disputed. And unexpected promotions which will be given to others. Eg if A works hard B will get the promotion. Based on favouritism.

Hmmm. .... Everything. There is no help nor there is any support all are busy with their targets and targets and targets.

Not a good transport facility service. Job security is also not there. Very short term projects. In most of the projects, the case is like one person has to do job of 3 people. If there is requirement of 3 people then they will assign all those task to single person. In terms of hike, even if we work harder and show our appreciations still they will say budget issue. No proper growth here. One common thing in all IT sector is that you will be valuable only if there is some work. If not then no one really cares. You are on your own. Work culture is excellent. Mixed culture makes it really good work environment. Free hand in New Projects for getting new profile.

Salary as per industry standards is less, Increment as per previous followups has not been great. But favouritism plays it's part.
