Too many wipro oldies. Indian mentality and coworkers will be jealous about others progress even though they are unqualified. Poor management. HR won't care even if you escalate the managers, as you would imagine they are on the same boat. 10 hrs working. Unprofessionalism. Some Employees are not skilled to work in the IT industry as they do not know how to communicate with Clients or with anyone for that matter. Too many unskilled Telugu, Tamil & Malayalis ruining the work culture by using their community bias. Cognizant brand is going down as you can see from the attrition rate(above 30%) yet management is still not bothered and they are running to colleges to hire freshers who doesn't even know how to speak or draft an email. There is a lack of work-life balance, a poor work culture, and ineffective leadership management. While some managers are supportive, others practice excessive micromanagement. The most I disliked is the annual hikes which is just peanuts. They have given 3-5% hikes to all the employees ( 5% was the maximum hike given to the top performers, rest all got 3-4%. Management forced us to work on weekends from office which could have been easily managed from home as no one comes on weekends and feels like I am in graveyard, and the entire bay remains empty.

As a technical support analyst, your leaves depend on the team. I worked on 3 different teams 1. Large team you have to preplan the leaves minimum 15 days before the start of each month, so it is hard to get leaves for festivals 2. Good manager always approved leaves 3. Most of the senior mgmt in cognizant are old , stubborn, egoistic and obnoxious people . They refused to work in teams, they refused to work at par with young associates and they have a very capitalistic mentality - they won't read mails and ask for updated on weekends ! As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.
Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.
