A while back, I came up with an idea for TapBill, a simplified and affordable billing and inventory management solution for small restaurants, cloud kitchens, and cafés.A website for billing and history management. Progress So Far With the help of a friend, we’ve been working on the UI design to make it intuitive and user-friendly. What’s Next? 1)Developing the Website – Building a fully functional backend and frontend using the MERN Stack. 2)Connecting with the Database – Setting up and integrating a database to store billing details, inventory, and customer data. 3)Hosting the Website – Deploying TapBill online for users to access anytime, anywhere. 4)Client Feedback – Sharing the prototype with potential clients to gather insights and make improvements. Predatory practices by Swiggy to mislead customers

I was ordering on Swiggy and I noticed the app added a tip by itself. I unchecked the 'Add this tip automatically to future orders' box and cleared my cart to see if it gets added again, and what do I see? I see the tip had been added again! I closed the app and tried to add to cart from a different restaurant and same story was repeated. My issue is not tips here but the sneaky way Swiggy tried to add a tip on it's own without my consent and every time I built my cart again, it added a tip automatically even though the add tip to future orders box was left unchecked. If one is not vigilant, one may end up paying a tip on their orders. Also, the uncheck box is not visible directly, one has to tap on price breakdown to see a tip has been added without their consent, click on Tip and unselect the tip and uncheck the box. This is really pathetic!🤦‍♂️

Idk how they'll do it, coz trust me providing groceries in 10 minutes by building dark stores is way too different than providing ambulances because you cannot just park a fleet of ambulance near every society. Plus traffic will be another huge issue because unlike Quick commerce deliveries which are done on bikes, providing an ambulance wont be that easy! Although, I strongly wish I am wrong because this is the need of the hour!

I have reached a point where I am just done with news about Zomato! - Succesfully stole the limelight of Swiggy's IPO - Made a fake Pay us 20 Lakh to get hired to seek attention -Never publicly addressed the Chandigarh's allegedly drug selling restaurant on their platform -Never talked about the fake Paneer they sell to restaurants via their HyperPure segment. I might get hate for saying all this, but it is what it is! Great marketing, but what about long term customer sentiments?

If the quality of the product or service is good then won't customer use that product or service more...? How the hell can you cook food and deliver it in just 10 minutes???

I was wondering the same thing last night.. Even my mother cannot cook food and hand it to me as fast as 10 minutes! Even maggi takes longer too cook, if you're cooking it properly. So how are Zepto, Swiggy and Zomato planning to do it? The answer is, highly unhealthy ultra processed half cooked food! No no, I am not saying that it'll be bad in taste, it'll be tasty as hell for sure, how else will they survive then, but I can vouch that this food will be highly ultraprocessed and unhealthy for us. Please don't sacrifice your health just to get food delivered in 10 minutes!

Zomato doesn’t own kitchens. Uber doesn’t own cars. Airbnb doesn’t own hotels. The logic behind these companies? Scale fast, and stay asset-light. In today's date, the real asset is data and brand building! How many customers are registered on your platform? How many contact numbers and emails do you have for push marketing? How many people are loyal to your brand? How many people recognise your brand? How much word of mouth do you have? That's what matters more in today's date!

The Ugly Truth About Working at Ola

During my time at Ola Cabs I noticed something many people don't talk about, it wasn't just the founder's expectations that made the culture tough. A lot of it came from how some senior leaders handled day-to-day operations. There was a constant fear in the air. People were publicly reprimanded, often for minor issues. Decisions like getting punished for missing a Sunday call or taking a day off were common, leaving everyone on edge. What truly surprised me was how some people quickly rose through the ranks, not because of their skills, but because of their ability to play office politics. As a result, most of us resorted to just doing the bare minimum to avoid trouble. The energy and drive typically associated with startups seemed absent. Many of my colleagues have expressed reluctance to join another startup due to the burnout they experienced at Ola. I completely understand their hesitation. I sincerely hope Ola can turn things around.
